Assumption and Hypothesis
Assumption
This research study is predicated on the
idea that the student respondents were
truthful and objective in expressing their
views on how peer pressure affects the
performance of Grade 10 students at Notre
Dame of Greater Manila.
Hypothesis
The closeness of peer pressure in influencing
all teenagers has a severe impact on
students' performance, and it can lead to
class cuts or engage in other poor behaviors
that could put their health at risk. Peer
groups, on the other hand, have a positive
impact on the development of a child's
competences, resulting in greater
performance in class and higher grades.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS

The research was confined to the concept

of the possible impact of peer pressure in
the academic performance of grade 10
students of Notre Dame of Greater Manila.
The study examined the various peer
groups from different sections of grade 10
students of Notre Dame of Greater Manila
conducted virtually due to constraints of
the pandemic.
 CHAPTER II
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES
Peer group consists of all those people of about the same
age and status in society who aggregate together to
form a sociological group with a homogeneous system of
values.
