MECHANICAL, METALLURGICAL & CORROSION TEST FLOWCHART

Receive Test sample and


Request from Customer

Get information like


If not OK, Inspect the sample condition, size
Return the sample Material Specification,
and quantity for the test Test method & other
back to Customer
details relevant to test

If No, Check the viability of the Lab condition, test equipment & other
tests requested. accessories, chemicals etc.

If Yes,

CREAT JOB CARD No. All details pertaining to the test are
updated in the format/software.

Give for test coupon/samples for specimen Send request to Machine shop
preparation to machine shop. with required drawings

After receiving test specimens from machine shop,


check for dimensions and surface finishing.

Prepare Mechanical/Corrosion Test Schedule test date & time


Record Sheet for testing. with the Customer

Carry out the Tests as per Dispose off tested specimens after
Standard/Customer requirement one week from test date, if
customer didn’t collect them.

Submit Job Card with copies of


Test Reports, preferably Prepare Test Report(s) and
acknowledged by customer’s send it to Customers via
representative to Accounts for Document Controller.

File all doc. pertaining to the test including Job


card to respective Customer File
