The best double chocolate fudge brownies sprinkled with a little salt. As easy as a
box mix, but taste even better. They can't be beat.

I used to be a firm believe that although a homemade brownie might be better than a
boxed brownie, it wasn't worth the work. Boxed brownies are really good, and they're
:
so easy. Well guess what, these brownies are so much better, and they are just as
easy! You can make them in one bowl and it takes very few ingredients or time to
whip them up. I was given this recipe by my best friend Lillie, so many years ago, and
to this day I have never gone back to a box. I still have a love for a more cake like
brownie with a hard top too, but these are my staple every week or day brownie.
:
INGREDIENTS
Butter
Granulated sugar
Eggs
Milk
Vanilla
Salt
Baking powder
Flour
Cocoa powder
Chocolate chips
H OW TO
:
1. Preheat oven to 325 F. Line a 9x13 pan or ¼ cookie sheet with parchment paper
and spray.
2. In a medium mixing bowl, mix melted butter and sugar together. Add eggs, milk
and vanilla and mix again.
3. In a small bowl whisk together dry ingredients, salt, baking powder, flour and
cocoa powder. I do this so there aren't clumps of cocoa powder that won't mix
well once added to the wet ingredients.
6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes. You want the edges to start to pull away from the
sides of the pan and darken, but the middle to still jiggle. Then allow them to sit
anf firm up while they cool.

NOTES
I have made this recipe Gluten Free before and it turned out great as well. I
subbed cup4cup flour and had great results.
You can use any kind of chocolate chips, or even chopped chocolate bars, my
family seems to prefer semi sweet. But we have even added Reeses cups and
peppermint patties before. Basically you can't go wrong!
These brownies also freeze so well. I often times will double the recipe and then
throw them in the freezer for when I need a quick treat for someone.
I have given both cups and grams as measurements. Grams will be more precise,
especially when measuring flour. If you don’t have a kitchen scale, no problem!
Just lightly spoon flour into your measuring cup to insure its not packed in there.
Light and fluffy is the key.

My new go-to brownie recipe! Easy and amazing. I made them once with jet black
cocoa powder because I ran out of my Dutch process cocoa and I felt like I was
eating an oreo brownie. Yum.

I will never use a box mix again! These are so delicious and SO easy. My daughter
can make them ok her own. The flake salt on top takes them to the next level. I’ve
:
made them numerous times now and everyone always loves them. I double the
recipe every time! I brought them camping a few months ago and they were gone
in minutes.

Easy enough for a weeknight after work but decadent enough you feel like it’s a
fancy bakery brownie. Delicious!
