Lead Safety Officer – [ Occupational Health & Safety]

Reporting to Chief Safety Officer, my role involves the individual responsibility for ensuring the
safety in three wheeler plant, where three wheeler vehicles are manufactured. Also responsible for other
indirect areas Propane yard – 60 MT, LPG yard – 10 MT, CNG and LPG dispensing station.

➢ Statutory compliance & Periodic inspection of Propane, LPG, CNG & HSD Storage, Fire Hydrant
& Fire Alarm system, Chains, Lifting Equipment’s, Power presses & Accessories Pressure
Vessels.
➢ Collection and Evaluation of OHS related data and performing inspections with developed check
sheets
➢ Conduct HIRA study for eliminating or reducing the potential risks
➢ Coordinate all plant safety in charges & Ensure safety culture followed in all plants.
➢ Safety audit conducted in frequently which covers the ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
➢ Responsible for the daily Safety, Health and Environmental operations of the plant while enabling
plant production requirements.
➢ Ensuring all applicable National and Local regulations and standards.
➢ Coordination with all functional Leadership Team members to ensure completion of all OHS
plant objectives.
➢ Identification of Fire safety risks through concepts / reviews and developing mitigation measures.

➢ Examination of Chains, Lifting Equipment’s, Power presses & Accessories – As per The
Factories Act, 1948 & The Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950 [Rule 55A].
➢ Inspection of Pressure Vessels – As per The Factories Act, 1948
➢ Safety audit conducted in supplier company’s .
➢ Enhancement & Replacement of Fire Hydrant Pipeline & Sprinkler System.
➢ Periodic Mock drill conducted in LPG, Propane, CNG & other fuel yards as per the statutory
requirement.

➢ Reduction of accidents, Achieved Zero reportable accidents and Non reportable accidents.
➢ Successfully completed the Hydrostatic test for 10 MT LPG bullet.
➢ Successfully completed HAZOP study and implemented the recommended action for 60 MT
propane bullet and supply system.
➢ Successfully completed the dispersion modeling for 10 MT LPG bullet and identified the
potential areas by using ALOHA software.
➢ Received Gold medal for secured the Overall first place in the ME – Industrial safety Engg.
