Procedure: (1) Lubrizol Advanced Materials, Inc.

1. Using moderate agitation (800 rpm) provided by a variable speed mixing unit (Noveon * Consumer Specialties)
and an impeller suitable for general mixing and blending operations, disperse or (2) Dow Corning
screen the Pemulen™ 1622 polymer into the deionized water. Mix the slurry (3) Air Products
for approximately 15 minutes or until the slurry is homogeneous. (4) Rohm and Haas / Dow Chemical Company

2. Add the ethoxylated alcohol with good agitation (warm to melt).

3. Add the silicone fluid with good agitation.

4. Add the triethanolamine with moderate agitation.

5. Adjust the pH with additional triethanolamine, if necessary.

6. Add preservative along with fragrance and color, as desired.
