A community is a location or group of people who used to get together

and exercise their values and practices. Different groups of individuals lived
and practiced their religious activities in a community while respecting
diversity. Communities are an important component of our existence and
have an influence on our worldview. Communities are an important
component of everyday life and have a good impact on their members and it
benefits the society because it generates solutions, offers security, and
demonstrates commitment. Communities can be found everywhere and can be
created anywhere.
The community in which I live is small, peaceful and a nice place to
live in. As a member of a diverse community, I have the opportunity and
obligation to educate myself about the many cultures and religions belief that
exist here in our community.  First of all, the characteristic of the people or
the members of this community is I must say that they we are super kind to
each other, we lend a hand if someone needs helps in terms of financial and
or even confidential help. I can also say that the people of this community
have a unity and diversity and they share the same goal; to beautify or show
the real beauty of our community. In this community we also have Barangay
officials and all of them have the compassion and determination to serve and
be loyal to its community. The first time I encountered the unity and even the
determination of each and everyone of this community when sadly one of our
barangay officials passed away. Sad to say that even we lost a great and
passionate leader the unity that within us never fades our community unites
until the very last night of its burial. There are belief and practices that I have
encounter during the last night of the burial some of this are the family of the
deceased official are wearing a white headband. Another practices that I have
encounter is the day of the burial a chicken will be beheaded when the body
of the deceased person leaves the house. This practices and Beliefs are
common in this community. We also have a lot more beliefs and practices
that I don’t know and I want to know more of this so I would like to
participate or to volunteer to serve my community and to know what are all
the practices and belief of my community.
By doing so, I am giving back to my community and helping to make it a
better place. Volunteering is also a vital aspect of being a member of a
community since it benefits not just individuals but also the community as a
whole. It reassures people that they will be supported in the community if
they face adversity. Being a part of a community, you see, also entails
supporting my neighbors and doing anything I can to improve their
circumstances.
