1. Concept or theme for performance, costume and props must depict the culture, values and
tradition of the region or locality represented;
2. The composition of the contigent must be within the MINIMUM OF FIFTEEN (15) dancers,
musicians and festivals queen;
3. Assembly time for all participants (dancers, musicians and Festival Queen Candidates) is ONE
(1) hour before the official time of the competition.
4. Each performance shall be limited to TEN (10) MINUTES including the entrance and exit;
5. For every five (5) seconds in excess of the allowable time, a penalty of one (1) point shall be
deducted from the total score of all the judges;
6. The use of flammable materials such as pyrotechnics as part of the performance is strictly
prohibited. Props used in the performance should not exceed 10ft. in height. Contingents are
prohibited from performing dance movements that unduly endanger the safety of dancers;
7. The festival queen must be present and should take part in the dance performanece. Her role
must be prominent and should be highlighted in the performance;
8. The decision of the judges shall be final and unappealable.

1. The participating region in the Dance Festival must nominate one muse as the Festival Queen
and must be bonafide PICPA member;
2. She must be presented and take part in the dance routine and must be given prominence during
the presentation;
3. She must be at least 21 years old and must be an official member of PICPA Region she is
representing;
4. Designers assigned to the respective contestant should ensure that their festival costumes and
headpieces will fit through the backstage doorway measuring 7-1/2 feet high and 6 feet wide
when worn, and that the candidate will be able to withstand the weight of the costume for the
entire duration of the event;
5. The costume design must be relevant to the festival and the region they are representing in the
Dance festival Competition;
6. The decision of the judges shall be final and unappealable.
