This chapter presents the methods and instruments that will be used to
gather data that are useful to the said project.
I. Research design
General aims:
This qualitative study involves and studies specific data in a
specific context of case studies selecting small geographical
areas or very limited objects as research topics.
RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS
A. Site assessment
1. Site selection
Identifying, evaluating and comparing three possible sites.
Allocating different criteria suitable for the project by considering different
factors such as the area of the lot, location if it is accessible and following
certain consideration related to the building such as if it requires being
located along the major road, the availability of the utilities and the
identification of the lot plan, these data will be necessary for selecting the
best location for the intended program.

Internet research
The internet is very large and accessible way of gathering
information from different sources. It is one of the good sources of data.
The internet is well-updated information which is useful for the proposal.
Library research
-Library contains different types of books, magazine, journals,
newspaper and even computers are located for research purposes. It is a
very reliable source of information to be used for the proposal. there is a lot
of information and data that ca be found in the library such as important
historical events, economic, growth, and government conditions which are
relevant for the proposal.
Residents
This user group will be made up of visitors from nearby cities or
even farther away. This group will be able to take advantage of the nearby
restaurants, parks, and shopping establishments as well as engage in
neighborhood events. Through the usage of the community center, any
ongoing public events, as well as the community itself, they will be able to
learn about the rich culture and history in the area.
Business Professionals
This user group will be made up of residents who work in the
nearby shops, eateries, businesses, and offices. This group will be able to
utilize the park as well as take advantage of the expansive park area
during their free time.
Tourists
Locals who live in nearby cities and some of the nearby
neighborhoods will compensate this user group. This party will be able to
take advantage of the vast park or open area on the property as well as
the additional parks close by. Additionally, they will be able to utilize the
local resources like food and retail, which will be mainly present. The local
community center, which will support the community by hosting events,
will also be available for use by the locals.
