1. Which developments in the information age brought significant changes in the way you live your
life today?
 The computer age, digital and the new media age. These have become one of our mainly
used equipment in our daily lives. They became our instrument for communication,
entertainment and even useful to work, academics and businesses. With the use of these
innovations along with the internet, people can now reach anyone in the globe. They can
now also post updates and have anyone read it anytime. Information dissemination as well
has been made easier.
2. How did the transmission of information evolve from the ancient times up to the present?
 The transmission of information evolved from ancient times because now we are using
many advanced technologies to transfer information to others but in ancient times they
were used pigeons and humans to transfer information. Every theory of evolution would
clarify how the genetic code changes in order to better match the subsequent communities
of species to their conditions. The mechanism by which such adaptation happens can be
called a transition of information from the world to the organism's genetic storage. You then
have electrical average comms available as a telegraph, then as a telephone. Back to the
middle of the 19th century. After that, radio and television comms took many a big step and
made them more accessible.
3. Social media is a technology which facilitates the sharing of information, ideas, and other
content in different parts of the globe. If social media will be deactivated for a month in the
country, what could possibly happen?
 If any of social media are closed for a month in the country, there would be a massive
disorder. Once a country banned social media and as a result, all the businesses based on
particular social media were collapsed and numerous people lose the jobs.
4. Social media also poses certain risks especially in the dissemination of false information. As a
student, how will you use social media to ensure that you do not propagate inaccurate and
unreliable information?
 As a student we can take following steps to ensure that we do not propagate inaccurate and
unreliable information.
 Avoid sharing unverified information just because they have many likes or shared by many.
For example if there is a message in whatsapp about some current issues and it looks like
fake but many people have shared it, most of them just share and spread the false
informations. We need to avoid it. Even it doesn't cause any problems in our families and
surroundings but it can cause trouble somewhere to some people. So we need to think
twice before sharing the information.
 Make sure you know exactly who provided the information for the reports you're reading or
sending. If the report you read is from a newspaper or TV, it is true. But if you get the report
from some unknown website, you should not share. In some cases it can be true but
sometimes it can be false too. So you should not share that messages in that case. So be
careful from which source you get information.
 If something newsworthy happens, there will be multiple reports on it. So read as much
reports to find the full information about the event. So we should not read one report and
assume the whole story and share wrong informations about it in social media. Though
social media is sometimes used to spread fake messages, it is not fully bad. It can also be
used in positive ways which develop the society.

system analysts, hardware and software developers and web designers.
