Hamus, Mary Jo Sigourney, Don Walloch, Darrell Anderson, Pat Springer

Meeting opened at 5:35 with a prayer.

Continuation of last month’s discussions:

Is there a current loan from the Diocese – we will pay principal, but we are not going to pay
interest. This is in regards to last year’s DAA short fall of $17,326.

Expense budget of recurring monthly expenses – Darrell handed out a Budget Worksheet that the
Finance Council will be working on. The minor things we can take care of; major things we rely on
contributions.

Dollar amount limit of a project to go through Finanace Council before it is begun – the Finance
Concil is an advisory body and Fr. Patric has full authority to approve or disapprove any amount.

What is actual cost of school besides the $21,000 per month subsidy to Assumption – ASC pays
an annual fee of $60,000 for utilitiles, payable once a month. Our subsidy to ASC is $283,656.96
per year.

Rank importance of projects needing to be done – upgrade the roof next summer. Soffit and facia
is falling down in some places. John is getting an estimate from Altman Construction for the cost
on that – he estimates 2-3 hours to put it back up.

We could look at having a speaker come in at the beginning of Advent. CCW would like to have
things scheduled to bring people to church socially. Mary Jo reported there is a program called
Formed that would have resources to bring people together in the parish. She will be looking into
that program through a Zoom meeting.

Pat asked about shining a light on the crucifix in church. Cheri requested that the thermostat be
turned down in the church in the winter. Darrell will post the handouts from tonight on the bulletin
board.

Father is going to India on November 1 and will be back on December 6.

October 10-11 there is a priest meeting in LaCrosse.

December 15 is our communal penance service. CCW will provide a Kwik Trip gift card the priests
can use for food or gas.

Meeting closed at 7:10 with prayer.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 18, at 5:30 in the Gathering Space.

Respectfully submitted by Cheri Walloch
