Exercise 7 : Build Data Reconciliation Model

Implement measurements

Click Measurements from PFD palette, drop them on the setting streams.
Input unit name F1, press button [OK].
Select [Flow Sensor- VolRate], press button [OK].
Exercise 7 : Build Data Reconciliation Model
Implement measurements

Double click at measurement F1.

In tab [Scan], input plant data 90.5
(m3/hr, Std.Liq.Vol.) for [Value]
under [Raw Scan Data].
Exercise 7 : Build Data Reconciliation Model
Implement measurements

In tab [Reconciliation Data], set

measurement type (standard Check
deviation and full scan value).
Check [Use Instrument from
Measurement Class Manager],
standard deviation for each type of
measurement is shown (It is possible
for user to add a new setting).
Press button [OK + Screen].
Exercise 7 : Build Data Reconciliation Model
Implement measurements

If the registered measurement type is not used, un-check [Use Instrument from
Measurement Class Manager], value of [Relative Error] and so on could be changed.
Set the other measurements in the similar procedure.
In the case of F1, attached measurement is linked to the volumetric flowrate of the
stream automatically because there is only one variable which attributes to volumetric
flowrate.
If there are variables which have the same attribution, attached measurements should
be linked manually.

Tips
If there is no data for Full Scale Value, input
the value twice of Scan Value.
In some situations (e.g. low volumetric
flowrate streams), it might be preferable to
fix offset at 0 in Data Reconciliation.
Check [Fix Offset in Data Reconciliation] in
tab [Scan], the offset will be fixed at its
initial value in data reconciliation
calculation. This checkbox will be displayed
only when measurements are attached to
independent variables.
