1. Scope of Document

The purpose of this document is to explain the RF KPIs and formula implemented by NSN and
Ericsson circle for Vodafone India network. These KPIs are also applicable for service credit and
bonus computation. This document also consist exclusion criteria set by Vodafone for KPI
calculation.

3. Mechanism to calculate NQI from the 3 values - Min, Target and Max

It is agreed to have a range for all KPIs and weightage can be vary only between -x and +x. This
method also ensures that good and bad performance in any one area doesn’t mask the
performance in other areas. It only upgrades/degrades the total network score in proportion to
its weightage. This methodology is clarified with example in the table below.

5. Exclusion Criteria For Ericsson

DAILY - Whole Period (19 Hour) KPIs

1. In case of daily (24 hour) KPI calculation maintenance window to be excluded so


we are proposing to calculate daily KPI based on 19 hour (morning 6 AM to 1
AM midnight)
2. For network level (19 Hour section) video KPI calculation the threshold will be
>100 (daily 19 hour).

Cell BBH KPIs

In case of cell BBH calculation cell will be excluded from individual KPI % cells
meeting criteria calculation if,
a. DENOM is having Zero value (means zero Att) - this will create "DIV#0" error in
final KPI value so, such cells will not be considered in cell BBH KPI.
b. In case of HSDPA throughput KPIs if cells having <10Mbyte HSDPA payload
same will be excluded
c. If cell having <25 voice call attempt same will excluded from Voice KPI
calculation
d. If cell having <10 video call attempt same will excluded from Video KPI
calculation

6. Selection criteria for Top-20% sites(Ericsson Circle)

a. Granularity of selection of Top-20% would be a physical site. Individual cell of a


single site cannot be in Top-20 category.
b. b. Every Quarter SNOC team shall share the new revised list of T-20 sites with
circle based on the defined Traffic criteria*
c. If the changes requires in Top-20% site list by >30% it has to be agreed mutually
at corporate level.
d. To help meet the more stringent KPIs for Top-20% sites, we will need assistance
(protection, infra improvements etc.) that fall under Vodafone's responsibilities. If
we don't get the same, then the Top-20% list will need to be revisited/modified to
remove such sites.

* The Top 20% of highest total Traffic (CS+PS) carrying sites during 5 business days of
the third week of closing month for the running quarter should be taken.

8. Exclusion Criteria For NSN

9. Selection criteria for Top-20% sites(NSN Circle)

a. Granularity of selection of Top-20% would be a physical site. Individual cell of a


single site cannot be in Top-20 category.
b. Every Quarter Vodafone and NSN teams would agree on the list of Top-20 sites.
Minimum one month preparation time would be available before putting a site in
to Top-20 category.
c. If the changes requires in Top-20% site list by >30% it has to be agreed mutually
at corporate level.
d. To help meet the more stringent KPIs for Top-20% sites, we will need assistance
(protection, infra improvements etc.) that fall under Vodafone's responsibilities. If
we don't get the same, then the Top-20% list will need to be revisited/modified to
