Your documents must be authenticated by


the Chinese consulate in your home country.

Send scans to your school

Send your school scans of every page of


each document that you had authenticated

Specify which consulate you'll use for your


visa when you e-mail the scans (you
cannot change this later)

Work permit application


(4-6 weeks)

Your school will use the scans to apply for


your work permit

E-approval letter

Your school will send you an e-approval


letter that will only be good at the
consulate you specified

Apply for z-visa


(1 week)

Take your passport, a photo, & the


approval letter to the consulate you
specified (or use an agent)

You'll receive a single entry z-visa

You must enter China within 90


days of this
