INTRODUCTION
Muthoot Fincorp Limted (MFL) is a ―systematically important non-
deposit taking NBFC‖ that is involved in the business of providing
loans against gold and is today,considered to be the largest company
in India (in terms of loan portfolio, with a gold loanportfolio of
Rs.22694 crores provided to over 5.5 million accounts) to be offering
this service. It is the flagship company of the Kerala based
―Muthoot Group‖. MFL has an operating history of over seven
decades having first started the gold loan business.However it was
only in 2002 that the company secured an NBFC license from the RBI.

SCOPE
MFL has over the years, developed a very strong customer base and
brand equity (havingbeen around in this business for over seven
decades), but this has largely been limited tothe Southern territories
which accounts for 65%. In keeping with its tag of being thelargest
gold loan company in the country, the company has sought to reduce
its exposureto the Southern territories and broaden its reach
towards the Northern and Western areas.

 Loan disbursed at prescribed rate

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:
 RESEARCH PLAN-
a. Direct visit to the company.
b. Analysed about the scope and viability of the existing
facilities.
c. Secondary data were used to get an overview about the
company.
 RESEARCH DESIGN-
A research design is the plan, structure and strategy of
investigation conceived so as to obtain anwer to question.
 SAMPLE DESIGN-
Sample design deals with the method of selecting items to be
observed for the given study.
 DATA COLLECTION-
Primary as well as secondary data will be collected for research
purpose.
a. primary data will be collected through interview and
questionaire.
b. Books, websites on internet will be used for secondary data.

DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION:


 Graph,chart,tables and statistical method will be used for data
analysis interpretation.

interpretation of data collected.
