In the 1970’s, Henry Emily and William Afton were inventors specialized in building

robots and animatronics. William had a wife, a daughter and two sons while Henry
had a daughter named Charlotte.

Henry and William sustained their families mainly building animatronics. But William
was a psychopath and had a desire of, basically, murdering children.

There was a new restaurant called Fredbear’s Family which was a small, local,
family owned restaurant who commissioned William and Henry to create some fun
Chuck-E-Cheese-style animatronic mascots to entertain the kids. There's a golden
bear named Fredbear and a golden rabbit named Bonnie, these were what are
called spring lock animatronics meaning they operate using spring lock mechanisms
which are extremely dangerous. The problem was that these were also mascot
costumes meant to be worn by the employees of the restaurant, meaning they had to
be extremely careful not to breathe too hard because any moisture would cause the
spring lock mechanisms to malfunction and clamp down on the employee killing
them.

Despite this safety hazard, Fredbear’s became a pretty popular spot for birthday
parties attracting some real good business but one night fred bears hosted a birthday
party and one of the kids attending was Henry Emily's daughter, Charlotte, but during
the party Charlotte accidentally got locked outside in this dark alley behind the
restaurant when suddenly a mysterious purple car drove up and William Afton killed
Charlotte outside of Fredbear's diner claiming his first victim. Henry Emily has lost
his daughter which made him disappear for a while and Fredbear’s has its first of
many deaths tied to its name.

Because of the pressure of the tragedy, the owners sold off the Fredbear franchise to
new owners who created Fazbear Entertainment. They got Fredbear’s back on its
feet and by 1983 they turned the franchise into a multimedia empire with a tv show,
action figures, plushies and most importantly of all, the new sister location: Freddy
Fazbear's Pizza.

This newly revamped Fazbear franchise introduced a slew of new characters to the
lineup. The tv show was named Fredbear and Friends so they added a chicken
named Chica, a pirate fox named Foxy and a non-golden bunny and bear named
Bonnie and, of course, Freddy Fazbear.

William’s youngest son, who we call “The Crying Child” because he was scared of
the animatronics and cried because of this. His older brother Michael Afton used to
torment him by dressing up as Foxy and jumpscaring him. The Crying Child was
forced to be around animatronics because of his dad's job which led to his party
being held at Fredbear’s Family Diner in 1983. He didn’t have a great time and his
brother and company crowded around the crying child wearing character masks.
They lifted him and brought him to the main stage where the animatronics were
performing so The Crying Child cried and freaked out and the other kids then took
things way too far by putting The Crying Child inside Fredbear's mouth and because
of the moist the spring locks activated and munched the head of The Crying Child
killing him.

The owners then decided that the spring lock costumes were too dangerous so they
took the golden animatronics and sent them off to the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza sister
location where they stored them in their safe room.

Around 1985, 5 kids mysteriously went missing at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The
animatronics started oozing and smelling real rank and turns out William Afton used
the decommissioned spring bonnie suit to lure kids into the safe room, kill them, and
then hide their bodies inside the animatronic suits. This sparked an investigation
which led Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza to its shut down.

During these years, William Afton designed some circus themed animatronics which
helped him commit his crimes by renting them out for birthday parties and they
helped lure and kill more kids. Fazbear Entertainment decided to make a new
restaurant called Circus Baby's Pizza World but the idea fell through because an
accident occurred involving William’s daughter killing her.

In 1987 they decided to, yet again, reboot their franchise after only four years so they
opened the new and improved Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The animatronics were now
packed with advanced security systems which looked for possible predators.

The animatronics were now aggressive towards adults and not children. William
continued his murders and stuffing the bodies in the animatronics which led to the
restaurant closing again but first they threw a last birthday party and an animatronic
bit the daytime security guard confusing him with a predator and removed their entire
front lobe. This led to the restaurant closing for good.

A while after the restaurant closes down, William decided to sneak into the
restaurant and he started dismantling the animatronics but the possessed
animatronics cornered him which made Afton panic and get into a spring lock
costume but because the restaurant was abandoned for a while and it was raining
the spring locks activate which killed William Afton and his body stayed abandoned
in the backrooms of the abandoned restaurant.
