FNaF Timeline

By Owen Kilts
Opening of Fredbear’s Family Diner
Two entrepreneurs, Henry Emily and William Afton start Fredbear’s Family Diner,
a restaurant featuring pizza, and robotic animals to entertain the children. The
business is so successful that the two establish Fazbear Entertainment, and
expand to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
Springlock Suits
Henry invented special animatronics that doubled as costumes for employees to
wear. However, these suits were extremely dangerous. The slightest tap to the
crank could set free the animatronic parts, crushing the performer inside.
The Missing Childrens Incident
One day at Freddy’s, William puts on a costume of one of the characters and
leads a girl named Susie into the backroom, saying he had found her lost puppy.
He murders her, and hides her inside the Chica animatronic. He does this several
more times. The other victims where Gabriel, Jeremy, Frits, and Cassidy. Growing
concerned for his daughters safety, Henry installs a new animatronic called the
Puppet to look after her.
The Murder of Charllotte Emily.
It is Henry’s daughter, Charlotte’s birthday. Several kids lock her outside of the
building and laugh as she cries trying to get back in. Eventually, William shows up
in his car, and murders her. The Puppet comes out of the restaurant to find the
little girl dead outside the building. Charlotte’s spirit goes on to possess the
puppet.
Closing of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza
After the missing children incident, Fazbear Entertainment struggled to keep
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in business. Parent’s no longer felt comfortable bringing
their children there.
The opening and closing of Circus Baby’s Pizza
World.
William decides to expand the business and open yet another restaurant. He
designs the new Funtime Animatronics to be able to lure away and kidnap
children. He tells his daughter, Elizabeth, to stay away from the animatronics.
However, Elizabeth defies her father. She goes up to Circus Baby and admires her
father’s work. When no one else is looking, the robot opens up and grabs
Elizabeth. The robot pulls her in and closes, crushing Elizabeth inside. Upon
realizing what had happened, William fakes a gas leak, and closes the restaurant.
He places the Funtime Animatronics in an underground facility, eventually
repurposing them for a rental service. Having witnessed the death of his sister,
William’s youngest son grew afraid of the animatronics.
The bite of ‘83
As the youngest’s birthday approaches, William’s oldest son, Michael, notices his
younger brother is afraid of the animatronics. He begins to torment him with a
Foxy mask. William has the little boy’s birthday at Fredbear’s Family Diner. Here,
Michael meets with his friends who laugh at his little brother for crying. They pick
him up and carry him towards Fredbear. They shove him inside the animatronic’s
jaw. To their shock, Fredbear’s mouth closed, crushing the child’s head. He is
taken to the hospital, where he has nightmares of the animatronics tormenting him
until he eventually passes away in his sleep. Fredbear’s Family Diner closes.
Grand reopening of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria
In 1987, Fazbear Entertainment brings back Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, with
advanced new animatronics, capable of walking around the restaurant to entertain
patrons all over the building. They also featured a facial recognition system, able to
alert staff immediately upon spotting a criminal. Most of the original animatronics
are kept to be used for parts, with the exception of the puppet, who was used
alongside the new models.
William works the nightshift
In the new pizzeria, William worked as a night security guard. He discovers that
the older animatronics are haunted by the children he had killed years ago. One
night, several teenagers break into the restaurant. They are caught by william, and
murdered. Their souls go on to haunt the new animatronics. At the end of the
week, William moves to the day shift, and is replaced by Jeremy Fitzgerald.
William is arrested
William becomes a suspect in the Missing Childrens incident. Henry fires him
from the dayshift. Because the bodies were never found, William was only
charged with kidnapping.
The bite of ‘87
Only 2 weeks after the reopening of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, an animatronic
closes it’s jaw on a customer’s head. They survive, but need to have their
frontal-lobe removed. The restaurant closes, and the new animatronics are
scrapped, but the older models are kept in hopes of reopening on a much smaller
budget. The puppet disappears.
The third pizzeria opens
Fazbear Entertainment re-opens the pizzeria for a third and final time. This
restaurant featured refurbished versions of the original animatronics.
Phone Guy’s messages
As the night security guard of the pizzeria, Phone Guy, approaches retirement, he
records messages to help his replacement. However, as he records his final
message, the animatronics get into his office, and kill him.
Michael works the nightshift
Michael Afton, now an adult, decides to take the now available job as the night
guard at Freddy’s. To avoid being associated with his father’s crimes, he uses a
false surname, Shmidt. He discovers that the animatronics walk around during the
night, and stuff anyone they find into an animatronic suit, killing them in the
process. He works for seven knights, until eventually being fired.
Remnant
At one point, William discovers remnant, a chemical created by melting down an
object that contains the soul of someone who has died. Remnant can be used by
injecting it into an object, transfering the soul into that object, or injecting it into a
human, trapping that person’s soul inside their body, thus making them immortal.
The only way to get rid of remnant is to burn it out with fire.
The death of William Afton
After discovering remnant, William breaks into the abandoned Freddy’s restaurant,
with the intention of melting the animatronics down into remnant, and making
himself immortal. Using a spare suit he found in the backroom, he lured the
animatronics off of the stage and destroyed them. The spirits of the children, freed
from the animatronics, began to torment William until he hid inside a springlock
suit. He gets up and begins to laugh at the ghosts. Suddenly, the springlocks go
off, crushing William inside. The children, having finally been avenged,
disappeared.
Michael works at Circus Baby’s Entertainment and
Rental
At some point before William left, he told Michael to go to the rental service that
had the Funtime Animatronics, now haunted by the souls of the many children
they had killed. He gave him the vague instructions to free Elizabeth, who was
haunting Circus Baby. He took a job as a late night technician at the facility. Baby
and the Funtime animatronics put themselves together into a robot named
Ennard. They trick Michael into letting them use a machine called the scooper to
open him up. They remove his insides, and use his body as a disguise, and
eventually vomit themselves out of Michael’s body and climb into the sewers.
Michael’s rebirth
Michael wakes up on the sidewalk. His skin has turned purple and has rotted.
Unbeknownst to Michael, the scooper has injected him with remnant, making him
immortal. Looking for answers, Michael swears to find his father.
Fazbear Fright
The year is 2023. The horrible things that happened at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza
have become somewhat of an urban legend. A theme park decided to open a
horror attraction based on the events. Someone who helped design one of the
buildings let them into the old pizzeria to take what they want. They find an
animatronic called Springtrap, and take it back to the park, not knowing that the
corpse of William Afton is inside.
Fazbear Fright burns to the ground.
Due to faulty wiring and outdated equipment, Fazbear Fright burns down. William,
now haunting Springtrap, escapes.
Separation of Ennard
After having a conflict, Ennard ejects Baby, and leaves her behind. After ejecting
Baby, Ennard becomes Molten Freddy.
Henry’s discovery
Somehow, Henry finds out about the animatronics being haunted. Unable to sleep
with this knowledge, He finds a solution. He will open a pizzeria to lure the
animatronics in and then burn the building down. He builds a robot called Lefty to
capture the puppet.
The Final Pizzeria
Michael, thinking he may be able to find his father, buys the franchise for the new
location. On Henry’s request, Michael takes any animatronics that show up
outside into the building. One of the animatronics talk to him. Michael recognizes
his father’s voice.
The fire
After the pizzeria had been open for a week, Henry goes into the building on
Friday night, and turns on the intercom. He monologues about his daughter, and
his old friend. He tells Michael that there was a way out planned for him, but that
he felt like Michael wanted this. As the speakers turned silent, Henry, Michael, and
the spirits trapped inside the animatronics all went up in flames.
William’s hell
Cassidy, one of the children William had killed, created a special hell just for
William. She imprisoned him inside a small pizzeria, where he would be tormented
by the animatronics for all eternity.
