VISCOPOL® 1662E
Description:
VISCOPOL® 1662E is an Alkyl Phenol Ethoxylate (APE) free fine particle size, styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion that displays a
relatively tough but flexible film that is highly resistant to water and alkali.

Application:
VISCOPOL® 1662E has been developed specifically as a binder for high-build coatings where exterior durability, adhesion and
toughness are required. When used in high-build coatings, VISCOPOL® 1662E exhibits excellent pigment binding characteristics and
exceptional mechanical properties, permitting these coatings to be applied by all conventional spray equipment systems including
airless spray.

VISCOPOL® 1662E based coatings exhibit excellent adhesion to degreased galvanised steel, both primed and unprimed. Adhesion to
iron, steel and many other substrates is also particularly good.

VISCOPOL® 1662E may also be used in metal primers, roof-tile repair coatings and as an adhesive modifier.

Storage:
VISCOPOL® 1662E should be stored under cover, out of direct sunlight and avoiding extreme temperature changes. Under normal
storage conditions (5 − 35°C, away from extremes) sealed, unopened containers of this material would have a shelf life of 12 months
from the date of manufacture. If stored for longer than 12 months, product must be rechecked for suitability in the intended
application.
