THIS IS ME, MY LIFE

I grew up having strict parents. I get used to stay at home while other people at my age get to
hang out whenever they want. I am a menopausal baby, the youngest and the only girl in the
family. I had three older brothers they’re very strict too. I get jealous most of the time watching
all teenagers living their best life outdoor. I haven’t experience being with my friends at night,
sleepovers and etc. I feel a lot of pressure growing up what I mean pressure of having strict
parents and with three older brothers. I always need to look after my actions maybe it will
disappoint them. Growing up with this kind of set up made me realize how blessed I am with
everything that has been happening in the society, teenage pregnancy, and being wasted.
Blessed I was raised this way.

Looking back at my childhood. I had a happy childhood living with my parents, siblings and
friends. Luckily, I was able to experience playing outdoor games together with my childhood
friends. Scars were everywhere which means I really had a great time during my childhood
living. Behind that I wasn’t able to spend that much time with my siblings rather than my friends.
So, I’ll let you know why. We had a long years of age gap. Apparently, they don’t have the same
mindset as me, we had a 16yrs of age gap with my sibling before me so imagine I got three
brothers before me and with that they don’t have that much time with me to play.

During my elementary days I met a lot of new faces, new environment. I have a couple of
friends at school until we finished elementary and parted ways for the next phase of our lives
which is the high-school. So, when I was in high-school I studied at the same school as usual I
met a lot of new faces and they became my friends until today. Moving on, I love to play
volleyball. I love to join volleyball during school events since I was on my 8th grade not until I got
injured playing when I was 11th grader. I stop playing volleyball because my family advised me
to stop, for me to be safe and won’t be able to experience it again.

In college, I took Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. I choose to take this degree program
because a lot of job opportunities are present once I graduate from this degree. Also, Filipino
accountants can practice their profession in other countries without getting further education.
Aside from this I also want to help manage and operate our family business or to start my own
business in the future. I am very motivated to create the best possible future for myself. I need
to study and work hard to set that up.
