To ensure good audio quality, music tracks used in all video submissions must be properly
layered onto the recorded footage by means of video-editing. We will not consider submissions
where music is recorded from an external playback source.

E. HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN DANCEVERVE 22


Seek parental/guardian consent for:
Step 1:
• Participation in DanceVerve 22
• Featuring you and your submission on SYF social media platforms
(Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, website).

Step 2: Decide on the platforms and /or category (or categories) to participate in.
Students may take part in more than one category or platform.

Step 3: Create, practise and record the dance in a safe, obstacle-free space. Props if
used must be purposeful, suitable and safe.

Step 4 Do take note of the following while recording your dance video:
1. Specifications:
• Layout: Landscape mode
• Quality: 1920 X 1080 HD / Handphone HD Video Recording
• Format: .mp4 or .mov file
• Maximum File Size: 150 MB

2. Positioning:
• Choose a suitable or appropriate background that enables the dance
to be seen clearly.
• Stand within the frame in a safe, obstacle free space.

3. Environment:
• Ensure good or suitable lighting.
• Ensure a space for movement that is safe, quiet and obstacle-free.

Step 5: Upload the video on Dropbox, Google Drive or WeTransfer.

Name the video in the following format: <name of SYF Platform>_<name of


student> (e.g., CreativeCultureCool_MayLee).

Step 6: Video Submission Options
Please submit students own video by scanning the QR code or clicking on
the link:

VIDEO SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 18 April 2022

Note:
• We will reject videos with poor screen resolution or audio quality, or
which fail to download.
• All registrants will be notified via e-mail of the outcome within a week
from 18 April 2022.
You are required to fill in these details in the online form:

• Full name of participant(s) (this will be reflected on the e-certificate)


• School
• Class
• Participant’s or participants’ email address
• Parent’s or guardian’s name and contact
• School Teacher’s name and contact
• A short synopsis of your dance (up to 100 words), why it is unique, or
any special feature(s) you would like us to note.
• Link to the Dropbox, Google Drive or WeTransfer folder containing
students' dance video
• Link to the source of the music (e.g., website where royalty free music
was obtained)

All students with a valid submission will receive an e-certificate for their participation, which
can be reflected in their CCA record upon submission to their form teacher/CCA teachers.
