HR QUESTIONS

1. What new goals have you established recently? Did you meet any of these goals?
One of the recent goals that I set was to join a good B School. One other goal that I have set
is to prepare for CFA exam.

2. Why have your grades dropped/fluctuated over the years?


Once I got into college, it was a different experience, many opportunities opened up. I
started participating in more events and sports.
3. What is the best suggestion you ever made that was accepted by your team/boss
/colleagues? How did you present it?

Recently for our design thinking and innovation project, we had to construct a project
implementation chart. So, our project was related to solving work-time balance issue among
the security workers of our institute. My suggestion was that our HR club could use this as
an opportunity as a STP once consulting with the HR department.

5. In a discussion most people are usually convinced that their ideas are right. How successful
are you in getting others to accept your point of view? Can you give an example?
I think the best way convey your idea is to get to the point, be precise. Back it up with data if
its there. And be sincere and respectful.

6. Have you ever had a team member who did not perform as well as you thought he should?
What did you do about it?
So, it depends up on the situation, if the person is a new team member, he might be facing
some difficulty to adjust with the new environment, Be honest and tell him/her about it. I’ll
offer him any help that I will be able to do. (Assign a team member as a mentor)
And if the team member is an experienced member who had a performance record, I will do
the same, I will tell him/her about it, I will try to not be insensitive. I will offer all the help I
can, I will try to understand the reason behind his/her situation. (I will motivate him. Offer
him some off days, a different project, if some upskilling is required) I will set him some new
targets and monitor him and make sure that feedbacks are shared.

7. Have you ever had to arbitrate between two members of a team who were unable to work
together? How did you get them to cooperate?
There was a situation where two my group mates had some unresolved issues.
Talk to them individually and then together.

Hi, I am Sidharth P Edayath, I did my bachelors in Dental Surgery from GDC Bangalore. I did a
short stint of private practice of 5 months before joining IMT. During my college I developed
interest in management and administration, which led me to IMT. Here I am pursuing PGDM
in Finance. Am also part of IRC. I actively participated and conducted quizzes during my
college. I love to watch movies, and I also follows cricket and football.
I also like to read books, mostly non-fiction, history is my favourite subject.
