CLOUD PAYROLL UPDATE MAINTENANCE POLICY

In March 2019, Oracle Cloud Payroll changed the policy for the number of mandatory patching that our payroll
customer must take in a calendar year.

Oracle’s policy allows customers to stay as current as they would like to be with legislative changes. Oracle requires
customers to take all four Quarterly Updates a year and has reduced the number of mandatory statutory updates.

In addition to this reduction of mandatory updates, Oracle allows customers to have some flexibility in if and when they
want to take some of these updates. Customers can choose to take control of the recommended maintenance updates
or they can let Oracle continue to schedule legislative updates. You can choose what works best for your company. This
in no way limits customers from electing to take Monthly Maintenance Packs or Cumulative Weekly updates. Customers
that choose to manage their recommended updates don’t have to worry about forgetting to take these updates. The
updates will be included in your next Quarterly Update or the next update you request.

CUSTOMERS HAVE TWO OPTIONS FOR TAKING LEGISLATIVE UPDATES

Oracle Cloud Payroll offers two options for taking recommended updates: Oracle Managed Schedule or Customer Managed
Schedule. By default all customers will get the Oracle Managed Schedule. If you choose the Customer Managed Schedule, you will
need to enter a Service Request with My Oracle Support to opt into the Customer Managed Schedule. Once you have opted into the
Customer Managed Schedule, when you see a legislative update that you want to take, you just log a Service Request to have the
update applied.

ADVANTAGES OF ORACLE MANAGED SCHEDULE

Oracle will manage all legislative updates, so you are always current. There is no action on the customers end for scheduling.
Customers will still get notifications of when the updates will be applied. You can refer to the Legislative Update Announcements
pages in My Oracle Support to see what will be coming in each update. To find the legislative update pages for the countries you
support, check out the For Information on Updates and Legislative Information below in this document.

Customer Case Study for Oracle Managed Schedule

You are a large US retail customer with presence in many states and jurisdictions. There are legislative changes that you need to keep
current with every quarter and you have no time or staff to manage when all these changes that are happening. You want to ensure
that you have all legislative updates that you need to cover all of your states and jurisdictions. In this case you should choose Oracle
Managed Schedule and let Oracle schedule the updates for you.

What Updates Can I Plan on with the Oracle Managed Schedule

See What Legislative Updates will be Mandatory or Recommended? above in the document for the countries you process
payrolls for. The tables will show the updates that are required and mandatory, as well as when they will be applied.

ADVANTAGES OF CUSTOMER MANAGED SCHEDULE

Customers get to choose what updates they want to take with the exception of the mandatory updates. With this option customers
could potentially only have five updates per year. When customers opt into the Customer Managed Schedule you are taking
responsibility to know what updates are needed for your business. You will not miss any updates, as these will all be rolled into your
mandatory Quarterly Update. However you may not be timely with the updates, if you forget to schedule an update that your
company needs. If customers are taking this option we urge you to subscribe and to get notifications of updates on the Legislative
Updates pages identified in the For Information on Updates and Legislative Information section below, so that you are aware of
legislative changes.

Customer Case Study for the Customer Managed Schedule

You are a mid-size Retail / Banking / Local Government customer with presence in one or two states, that don’t have updates often.
Since your states do not have changes often, you may not need the same number of updates as other customers. You keep up with
changes for your states closely and have someone that alerts the company of legislative changes that impact your company. You are
very interested in further reducing the number of updates you receive, so you choose the Customer Managed Schedule. If you
forget to schedule an update, you will get the update in your next Quarterly Update or in the next update that you request. However
due to the timing if you have ran payrolls, you may have to retroactively correct entries.

What Updates Can I Plan on with the Customer Managed Schedule

With the Customer Managed Schedule you will only have to plan on the four mandatory Quarterly Updates and any mandatory
updates for the countries you process payroll in. See What Legislative Updates will be Mandatory or Recommended? above to see
what are the mandatory updates for the countries you process payroll for.

If I choose the Customer Managed Schedule What Do I Need to Do?

By choosing the Customer Managed Schedule you first need to enter a Service Request in My Oracle Support opting into
Customer Managed Schedule for Payroll Legislative Updates. After doing this we recommend the following:

 Establish an internal process and owner to check for legislative updates that could impact your business.
 Subscribe to “Hot Topics Email” in My Oracle Support for Fusion Legislative Product News. You can find this by logging on
to My Oracle Support, then going to the Welcome tab > Other Documents > How to Use My Oracle Support Hot Topics
Email Subscription Feature.
 If there is a recommended update that you would like to take you must log a Service Request and request the update
be applied.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

What option of receiving updates are most customers choosing?

We believe that most customers will still want Oracle to manage their schedule.

What happens if I do nothing?

Customers that have not logged a Service Request opting into Customer Managed Schedule, Oracle has automatically enrolled you
in the Oracle Managed Schedule. In the Oracle Managed Schedule you will receive both the mandatory and recommend updates as
identified above. You will receive a notification prior to updates being applied.

If you, log a Service Request for Customer Managed Schedule, then Oracle will only schedule the mandatory quarterly and year-end
legislative updates for you. For any recommended legislative updates or other updates that you would like to receive, you must log
a Service Request to have them applied.

What if I am on the Customer Managed Schedule and I forget to log a Service Request for an update my company

needs? There are two options:

1) You can get the updates on the next Quarterly Update, or the December mandatory update.
2) You can request a Cumulative Weekly update or Monthly Maintenance Pack and these updates will contain the
legislative changes that came out in the earlier update.

How do I request for Customer Managed Schedule?

Log a Service Request in My Oracle support titled Opting in to Customer Managed Schedule for Payroll Legislative Updates. In
the Service Request enter the date you will start managing you own updates. Allow at least two weeks’ notice of the date you will
start managing your updates for us to remove you from our scheduling.

Will I have to log separate Service Request to have a legislative update applied to all my environments?

No, we will track your environments when you raise the Service Request for a specific legislative update and it will be applied to all
of your environments.

Will there be support for concurrent patching options for this new policy?

Yes, we will continue to support concurrent patching under this policy.

Can I have some environments on the Oracle Managed Schedule and some on the Customer Managed Schedule?

No, you have to adopt one schedule type, we cannot support a mixed environment model for a customer.

Will this affect any changes to my strategies or options to schedule P2T’s or T2T’s?

In using either option, this will open up additional opportunities for scheduling P2Ts or T2Ts, and will reduce the blackout dates
during a quarter in which a P2T or T2T events can be scheduled.

I’m implementing Payroll now, can I choose to be on the Customer Managed Schedule now and switch to Oracle Managed
Schedule before I go live?

Yes, you may. We recommend you switch to Oracle Standard Schedule a quarter before go-live, so you are aligned with the
planned updates on a predictable schedule before go-live.

Can I change from the Customer Managed Schedule to the Oracle Managed Schedule option from quarter to quarter?

No, you need to choose a single option and remain with that option. There is no option to move back and forth between the schedule
options on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

How do I request an update if I am on Customer Managed Schedule?

Log a Service Request in My Oracle Support requesting the update that you want to receive. Enter Service Request two weeks prior
to the patch date, to ensure we have time to get you on the schedule.

If I want a recommended update, when do I have to log the Service Request to request

it? Service Request must be entered two weeks prior to the update date.

How do I know what will be in an update?

The information centers in the For Information on Updates and Legislative Information section above will have the
information regarding the dates and what is targeted for each update.

My environment has ERP and HCM with Payroll, does this apply to me?

Yes, update models are shared across product pillars. The HCM schedule will apply to all other pillars, such as ERP, Sales Cloud or
SCM.

Who do I contact for assistance or questions on this policy?

You can open a Service Request to ask for assistance or any questions. Your Service Request will be directed to the appropriate
internal team for review and reply.
