HOSPITALITY

 Ever since the opening of the fourth Bulihan Festival in


the Town of Sampaloc, which also the start of tourism in
the town, the Fuente Del Sampaloc became a popular
attraction specially to those visiting tourist which made
profit to the town of Sampaloc.

 Because of many tourists coming to see the Fuente Del


Sampaloc, it is possible to cause an accident due to the old
structure of it since it has been there ever since 1888.
 Precaution and limited visitors are needed for the safety of people and the historical
attraction.
POSITIVE ECONOMIC EFFECTS OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY

 It generates positive income to the town as it acquires an environmental fee as your


entrance pass to visit the place which is being used to sustain the cleanliness of the place and
as payment for the watchers of the said attraction.

NEGATIVE ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY

 The Fuente Del Sampaloc is located in an isolated area that is why the prices of goods being
sold in that area is much higher than the original and mainly because there is only one store
in the area.
 The cost of transportation also varies on how many people are riding the vehicle.

POSITIVE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY

 Fuente Del Sampaloc is one of the thirty-three Spanish colonial bridges in Quezon Province
and part of the petition of its restoration as an important cultural properties or National
Cultural Treasures.
 The road going there has been renovated and widened making it possible for larger vehicles
to enter unlike before that the road was small and muddy when raining.

NEGATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY

 The trash left by tourist that may also cause water pollution since the Fuente Del Sampaloc
is located near the river.
SUGGESTIONS AND/OR RECOMMENDATIONS

 Strictly address the numbers of people visiting the place.


 Renovate the Fuente Del Sampaloc and at the same time restore its natural structure so it
may last for another decade.
 Create more advertisements promoting the beauty of our town Sampaloc and its wonderful
destinations and attractions.

PUENTE DEL SAMPALOC (SPANISH ARCH)

 Located at Barangay Bataan Sampaloc, Quezon.
 Year 1888, when a road or bridge called the Stone Arch began to be built or
is now better known as Spanish Arch.
 It is a bridge made out of stones and these bridges were built in the towns of
Pagbilao, Tayabas, Sariaya, Lucban and Sampaloc during the Spanish
colonial period possibly because these towns served as important trade routes
to Manila, called Calle Real.
 Establishing the Arch became possible because of the unpaid forced labor of
the Sampalukins for there was a given punishment whoever disobey the
orders of the Spanish.
 This serve as part of the history were the sacrifices of the Sampalukins during
this period is shown and should be treasured.
