Brief History:
The Solaire Resort and Casino was opened on March 16, 2013. In 2009, the Philippine
Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) granted Solaire Resort and Casino a license
under the name Solaire Manila. In 2010, the name was changed to the more elegant Solaire
Resort and Casino. SOLAIRE, which translates as "The Breeze From The Sun" in French, was
inspired by its location and the breathtaking sunset view of Manila Bay. It is a component of
Entertainment City, which will also include of Manila Bay Resorts, City of Dreams, and Resorts
World Bayshore.

Paul Steelman of Steelman Partners designed the building's architecture. The


aforementioned one-billion-dollar hotel and casino also provides several amenities and venues
comparable to those found at casino hotels in Las Vegas, Macau, and other resort areas.

Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels Incorporated is the parent company of Solaire. It is a


subsidiary of Sureste Properties, Inc., formerly Bloombury Investments Holdings Inc., and is led
by maritime port tycoon Mr. Enrique K. Razon Jr, who collaborated with Global Gaming Asset
Management (GGAM) on the Solaire project (Solaire, 2014).
