CASE STORY TITLE: The Children of Sitio Mabolon

Conflict Identification

Due to limited government services, the children in the indigenous group from Sitio Mabolon
suffer from malnutrition and diseases. Because they don’t have the opportunity to be on the
government facilities, they just embrace the situation as is. It is the lack of help from the
government that caused the community to be like that.

Plan of Action

I propose that a large group of people with doctors, nurses, and people who bring a lot of goods
(food) to go there and assist the tribe. I also propose to build a health care facility in the area and
provide jobs for the head of each family, giving them a normal life by giving a livelihood. Also, the
government must take action to build the way from them to the mountains.

Reflection

It’s devastating to read the case of the area. Especially that it happens in real life. Honestly,
situations like this make me hate the rich more. The more I see how rich get richer, and poor gets
poorer, I cry for humanity. It’s not those people’s fault they were born that way.
