ACTIVITY TITLE: Essay #3
REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS
As a student, how do you show your duties and responsibilities as a Filipino citizen?
Student’s Answer:

Being a Filipino requires some duties and responsibilities. These are what the country's
citizens must do by law and be made to improve their environment and produce a positive
society. In this way, everybody has a sense of community and a feeling of pride and duty. As a
student, I can still carry out these obligations despite the multiple tasks we need to comply with
at school.

According to studies, there are more than six million people in the Philippines that are
considered to be functionally illiterate. Due to unfortunate circumstances, they can't contribute
to the community's development. That's why I should take advantage of the opportunity to be a
student by gaining more knowledge and applying it to my life decisions that will later influence
the country's condition. In the role of being a student, I can perform the duties and
responsibilities of a Filipino citizen in many ways. One is observing and thoroughly researching
the government's response to the issues the country faces, and studying the roles of every
politician in the administration will significantly impact my perspective for the Philippines. If I
understood the sides of every affair, I could use social media as my platform to voice out my
opinion. Which is where people can hear and understand different views of the matter. I will use
my knowledge to voice out my mind that could educate many people, and by this, several will
understand our state. Also, it is my responsibility to vote for the upcoming election. I registered
to the COMELEC already and am still waiting for the candidates, and I will use my student council
experience, but being in the voter's point of view.

In conclusion, I will use my role as a student to research carefully and speak up right after
because it is our responsibility as Filipinos to care for the country's future. We are the only hope
of our nation, and we must not let other people ruin it, even if it is the Filipinos themselves.
