As a student, how do you show your duties and responsibilities as a Filipino citizen?
Student’s Answer:

The various duties and responsibilities of a Filipino citizen include respecting, honoring, and giving
due regard to his Filipino heritage, inheritance, values, and tradition, contributing to his country's
development and welfare. And nation-building and engaging in gainful work to ensure a life worthy of
human dignity for himself and his family. The citizenship training emphasizes the many obligations that we
have as Filipino citizens in the various areas we live in and how these duties and responsibilities will
benefit others if they accomplish them.

We can demonstrate our duties and obligations as students and Filipino citizens by completing the
NSTP course and learning more about how and when to apply these duties and responsibilities while
respecting the rights of other Filipino citizens. By participating in various activities in which they contribute
their time, service, and resources, whether full-time or part-time, to an important social development
cause, mission, or endeavor in the belief that their participation is mutually meaningful and beneficial to
the public interest themselves. By adhering to the norms and regulations of the law, we may demonstrate
that we are proud to be Filipinos and denounce corrupt, dishonest, or fraudulent government officials to
the appropriate forum, courts, and authorities.

Finally, if you do not have these tasks and responsibilities, if ever not assigned to you, you will never
be able to improve yourself and become a better citizen of the nation. We should constantly demonstrate
our contributions, obligations, and responsibilities to our country by volunteering our time to help others,
particularly those in need. We want to assist one another in carrying out our tasks and obligations to
become better Filipino citizens.
