What is your role or contribution in our country’s national security?
Student’s Answer:

National service is a system of either mandatory or voluntary government service, most commonly
military service. ROTC is a kind of compulsory national service. The Philippine National service aims to
protect, help, and secure the living of the citizens and the community. Our country's national service goal
is to maintain peace and order; with all these said, what is our role and contribution to our country's
national security as students and citizens of this country.

As a part of the community, my role is to become a responsible citizen who abides by the rules
implemented by our country leaders. I contribute to our country's national service with the help of the
knowledge that I got from our NSTP course. The NSTP course is a program aimed to develop student's
physical, moral, intellectual, social awareness, and social interaction with other people. The course
promotes defense preparation and service ethics; it provides knowledge that can help us protect and
perform our roles in national security.

One can conclude that the role I embodied as a student is to become prepared and ready for the
sake of our country and community. Being a part of reserves can help us realize the hardship and
challenges that the Armed force of the Philippines goes through. We are training to become physically,
mentally, spiritually, and socially.
