What is the significance of the NSTP Law in student training?
Student’s Answer:

The National Service training program law aims to enhance civic consciousness and defense preparedness
in the youth by developing the ethics of service and patriotism to the country. It’s three program
components are specifically designed to enhance the youth’s active contribution to the general welfare.

The three NSTP components contain the following: Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC), Civic Welfare
Training Service (CWTS), and Literacy Training Service (LTS). ROTC provides military training to organize,
train motivate and prepare them for national defense preparedness. CWTS focuses on general welfare of
the members of the community, this helps to improve health, education, environment, entrepreneurship,
safety, recreation and moral of the citizens. Lastly, LTS is designed to train students to teach literacy and
numeracy skill to improve the development of the community.

All these will help improve and develop our country as a whole and be prepared for any crisis that may
happen. This makes sure that the citizens are prepared and know the things they need to do in order to
survive and prosper.
