COURSE / SECTION: CWTS103/B8
ACTIVITY TITLE: Term-End Essay
CASE STORY TITLE: One’s Commitment (part-1)

PRE-NSTP (EXPECTATION, NOTION AND IDEA)

Give your thoughts on the 17 United Nation Sustainable Development Goals and cite a particular UNSDG
and community concern that it can address where you think Mapua-NSTP students, as a whole, can mainly
contribute in it.
Student’s Answer:

The UN General Assembly unanimously endorsed the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015. That
would mobilize the globe to end extreme poverty, safeguard the earth, and provide peace and prosperity
for all by 2030. All 17 Sustainable Development Goals become entangled. They knew there needed to be
harmony between economic, social, and ecological considerations for sustainable growth. To attain the
Sustainable Development Goals, all members of society must contribute their knowledge, skills,
experiences, and resources.

The Sustainable Development Goals are important to me because they're part of the real success we
need to solve global problems. I first think of the world's problems' harmful elements. I tried to fix this by
telling myself I should always be my best. Humans destroy the ecosystem. Geological evidence suggests
Earth can recover. I've witnessed how natural calamities, especially among people experiencing poverty,
make us all more vulnerable to environmental damage. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) made
me realize that the world's problems will deteriorate from moderate to severe over time. I endorse the
Sustainable Development Agenda. As a student, I am exploring the many ways I may show my support for
this cause.

Accessible, high-quality education can reinforce the perception that education is the most effective
tool for long-term growth. The Mapua-NSTP student body can contribute significantly to this field. As a
student, I will permanently get restricted in my worldwide effect. However, high-quality education is a
blessing and a vital concern since it provides a basis for improvement. I worked hard to afford a top-notch
engineering degree. A well-rounded education can help us protect our digital devices and find practical
applications for our knowledge. A degree will give me lifelong learning opportunities, even when school is
hard. I think Mapua-NSTP students can help create innovative and ethical community projects. Civil
engineers prioritize public safety. To construct reliable infrastructure, we require these details. One of my
gifts is an excellent education. Knowledge is power. Knowledge is helpful for us and others. Our research
can benefit future generations.

POST-NSTP (REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS)

Give your thoughts on the learnings you gained through this course, its relation to your duties as a
citizen and your future actions in fulfilling your commitment to the community.
Student’s Answer:

I'd undoubtedly feel wonderful and grateful after finishing a course. Education helps people learn,
develop critical thinking, and adapt to various situations. This course broadened my outlook, taught me
skills, and covered specific subjects. These lessons are pertinent to my civic duty since education helps
create responsible and active citizens. Informed citizens are more inclined to vote, make thoughtful
decisions, and contribute to society. This course may help me understand complex ideas, have better
conversations, and improve my community. To fulfill my civic duty, I will likely look for ways to use my
training to benefit the community. Community events, volunteering, and sharing my knowledge all count.
I aim to improve the world by contributing to worthy community projects or using my degree and
experience to tackle social issues and achieve a brighter future. I may also focus on listening attentively
and empathetically, engaging with others with varied opinions, and seeking ways to grow and improve. I
may learn more about my neighborhood's issues and work with others to create long-term solutions. As a
responsible citizen, I will use my knowledge and abilities to improve society, develop strong communities,
and advocate for a more just world. It requires lifelong learning and good education because the world
will always present new possibilities and challenges.
