ACTIVITY TITLE: Term-End Essay
CASE STORY TITLE: One’s Commitment (part-2)

PRE-NSTP (EXPECTATION, NOTION AND IDEA)

Give your thoughts on the 17 United Nation Sustainable Development Goals and cite a particular UNSDG
and community concern that it can address where you think Mapua-NSTP students, as a whole, can mainly
contribute in it.
Student’s Answer:

A sustainable development is one that "meets the needs of the present without compromising the
ability of future generations to meet their own needs," according to the United Nations. This is
undoubtedly a noble objective for the entire world, and achieving it will require cooperation from all
nations. One aspect of this duty is the SDGs.There are seventeen objectives, ranging from eradicating
hunger and poverty to protecting the environment and guaranteeing excellent health. In addition to
encouraging sustainable agriculture, clean water and air pollution reduction, and gender equality in all
spheres of life, the aims also promote economic growth and social equality.

The particular UNSDG where Mapua-NSTP students can help is clean water and sanitation. Mapua
students are known and mostly are engineering students. They can easily help with that since engineers
can work on projects that transport water for agriculture and designing drainage systems to handle water
flow. This will guarantee that communities have access to safe drinking water, they also design and
manage freshwater supply systems. They also think of effective ways to collect and recycle wastewater.

In conclusion, Water and sanitation are addressed in Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6), which
focuses on the sustainable management of water resources, wastewater, and ecosystems while also
recognizing the significance of an enabling environment. SDG 6 aims to ensure access to safe drinking
water and adequate sanitation for all people. With the help of Mapua students, We can contribute on
clean water and sanitation since as engineers, they have the knowledge to do it.

POST-NSTP (REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS)

Give your thoughts on the learnings you gained through this course, its relation to your duties as a
citizen and your future actions in fulfilling your commitment to the community.
Student’s Answer:

I learned as a student how important the CWTS is to my growth as a person and in my community.
This instruction teaches students how to be effective and disciplined. In CWTS classes, the concepts of
performance, community involvement, and self-improvement are well- taught. I gained knowledge about
promoting youth involvement in nation-building. The youth are given the chance to serve and lead in their
neighborhoods.

Thanks to CWTS, I get a lot of knowledge and encounter numerous life-altering events. It makes me aware
of everything. You can steer clear of uncomfortable circumstances by being knowledgeable. Through this
subject, I have learned many valuable lessons about life, including how to organize a community for young
people and how to meet local needs. I also gained an understanding of what true leadership is, as well as
the value of excellent teamwork.

In conclusion, I learned a lot from CWTS, and this information has increased my strength and made me a
better leader. It assisted me in becoming more organized and responsible. In particular when attending
sessions, it helped me build discipline and increased my awareness of my surroundings.
