What is the significance of the articles and information in the chapter to the dimensions of
development? To the CWTS Program?
Student’s Answer:

The significance of the articles is that it shares various information related to civil service in different
fields. It shows us the SERVICE acronym: Safety and Security, Education, Recreation, Values, and moral
recovery, Industry and Entrepreneurship, care for health and Environment. This information helps us how
we can adequately assess the problems within our community, especially for us CWTS students. It is
beneficial for us to read the articles because it shows me the guidelines that I need to complete my
project proposal and what I need to consider before implementing it.

With the knowledge that I have learned from the article, I was able to revise my project proposal and
make it more attainable and realistic so I would be able to do it more efficiently and effectively I was able
to identify the flaws in my methods and how I want to implement which is why I have decided to make my
project proposals. One of the importance that I saw is that it gives the students insights into each
dimension, and it shows the students what the benefits and are drawbacks that you need to consider on
implementing a project that is related to the seven, whether it will help the economy, social, and
environment.

So I have concluded that the articles provided this information so that the students would be able to know
what they should focus on, especially how they would be able to help their community effectively and
what service they can give to them and who would be the target audiences of their project proposal. This
enables us to understand better the current situation and problems within our community which I think it
helps to have better insight into my safety and preparedness project proposal and how it will be able to
help my community in the future.
