What are your expectations to the NSTP Course?
Student’s Answer:

As a first-year college student, throughout my student life I never had any

experiences with a course named “NSTP”. At first, I expected NSTP to simply be military training
or ROTC. However, after watching the orientation I learned that NSTP offered more than what I
expected. I could further improve myself by simply being active and attentive during this course.
Camaraderie, discipline and the willingness to learn and help those in need, are traits that I can
definitely learn from NSTP.

NSTP aims to promote discipline, social awareness and charity for those who
need help. To improve these parts of myself, I can become active by joining the events and
opportunities offered by this course. I expect that I can improve my willingness to help others by
being active in charitable events and programs. Next, I can improve my discipline by dutifully
learning the lessons offered by our professors and learning materials. These expectations can
happen if I can do my works efficiently and consistently.

The NSTP course is very new to us first year college students, and yet this course is
essential and needed for us to become a respectable member of the Philippine society. The
attitudes, knowledge and skills we may develop and learn from this course may be useful in our
future jobs and endeavors in the real world. I hope that the lessons and skills I learned from this
course, may be beneficial to myself. I expect to become a better, responsible person after this
course as it is an outlet to become a better version of ourselves.
