ACTIVITY TITLE: Case Analysis
CASE STORY TITLE: No Read, No Write: Story of MangDeolito
Conflict Identification

Mang Deolito desired to attend school, but due to his family's conditions, he could not do so and was
forced to work at a young age. Despite his father's gaining stable work, Mang Deolito's parents prioritized
his younger siblings' education, resulting in Mang Deolito's inability to read and write. Out-of-school youth
are expected to result from poverty, resulting in illiteracy, particularly among the minority. Because
schooling is expensive, many young people have chosen to work rather than study. They will be able to
assist and love their family struggling financially as a result of this. As a result, many illiterates struggle
with basic chores like reading and filling out paperwork daily.

Plan of Action

In the case of Mang Deolito, I believe that everyone should get an opportunity to study and have
access to education since it is our right. That being stated, I believe Mang Deolito, despite his advanced
age, should continue his schooling and acquire the foundations of reading and writing. Concerns like Mang
Deolito are common in today's society, owing to the large number of out-of-school youths who cannot
receive a free education. As a result, I believe the government should place a greater emphasis on
education in our country.

Reflection

As a student at a prestigious institution, I am appreciative and devoted to assisting people in need. I've
always believed that being fortunate entails a responsibility to help those in need. According to Mang
Deolito's dispute, many individuals cannot attend school and receive an education due to poverty and a
lack of school supplies. As a result, I'm thinking about how the government might reinforce its base in
terms of education in our country. Suppose we consider it if every child can attend school and at the very
least graduate from a primary level; this may make a significant impact in terms of meeting the children's
basic needs in the real world. With all of the youngsters being taught, we can see a ray of hope for these
young people, knowing that their futures are bright and that they may one day be able to break the cycle
of poverty.
