Applications arc invitcd fronr cligiblc persons for thc post of Secretary, National
Council of Educational l{esearch and 'l'raining (NCIJR1') having the Pay in I-evel l3 of Pay
Matrix [Rs. i,23,100 -2,15,900] [pre-revised Pay I3and of Rs.37,400 - 67,000 (pB-4) with
Grade Pay of Rs.8700/-]. 'I'he Secretary, NCI-IR1' shall maintain a record of proceedings of
the Council and of the Executive Comrnittee and of the Prograrnme Advisory Cornmittee and
shall perform such duties as usually perlain to the office of Secretary anrl also such other
duties as may be assigned to the Secretary by the Director or the Joint Director of NCERT.
Secretary shall also perfonn such duties and excrcise such powcrs as rnay be entrusted or
delegated to Secretaty and/or specilied in the Regulations of NCERT. The appointment shall
be made by transfer on deputation or sh<1ft-term contract on tenure basis fbr a period upto five
years or upto the age of 60 years of the candidatc or till thc age ofhis/her superannuation in
his/her parent organisation or until luflhcr ordcrs, whichever is earlier. l-he Selection shall be
made by thc (lentral Goverarnent on the recomrnendation of a Selection Committee.

Eligibility:
Officer under the Central Govemrnent or Slatc Govemrnent or Union 'l'erritory
Administrations or Central or State Aulonomous Organizations, -

(a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis;

or
(ii) having five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis
in Level 12 of Pay Matrix llts. 78,800 2,09,200) [pre-revised pay Band of Rs.15,600 -
39,100 (PIl-3) with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/-l on regular basis; and

(/ possessing five years of administrative cxpcricncc;

(c)'lhe applicant should not be more than 56 years of age as on the closing date of receipt of
appiications.

Employment News. While forwarding the application, it may be certified by the prescribed
