Health & Safety Measures

Remarks:
• This document can be used as a general method statement.
• Any safety accessories not shown in this document must still be used by the customer in accordance with the
local safety rules and regulations and compliance with the British standard.
• The customer is responsible for carrying out, documenting, implementing and continually updating a hazard
assessment at every job-site during the project life cycle.
• Provide safe workplaces for the formwork team (e.g. for when it is being erected/dismantled, modified or
repositioned etc). It must be possible to get to and from these workplaces via safe access routes. A safe access
routes to and from workplaces must be provided at all times.
• The customer must ensure that this product is erected and dismantled, reset and generally used for its intended
purpose under the direction and supervision of qualified people to issue instructions. These people’s mental and
physical capacity must not in any way be impaired by alcohol, medicines or drugs.
• The stability of all components and units must be ensured during all phases of the construction work.
• The functional/technical instructions, safety warnings and loading data must all be strictly observed and complied
with. Failure to do so can cause accidents and severe (even life-threatening) damage to health, as well
as material damage.
• In extreme weather, steps must be taken to safeguard the equipment and to protect employees.
• All connections must be checked regularly to ensure that they still fit properly and are functioning
correctly.

Formwork Erection & Concrete Pouring:

• The equipment/system must be inspected by the customer before use, to ensure that it is in suitable condition.
• Combining our formwork systems with those of other manufacturers could have risk of damage both health and
property. If you intend to combine different systems, please contact us for advice.
• The assembly work must be carried out by the customer’s qualified employees.
• Our products and systems must be set up in such a way that all loads acting upon them are safely transferred.
• Do not exceed the permitted fresh-concrete pressures. Excessive high pouring rates lead to formwork overload,

causing great deflection and risk breakage of system.

Dismantling Formwork
• Do not strike the formwork until the concrete has reached sufficient strength and the person in charge has given
the order for the formwork to be struck.
• Observe all regulations applying to the handling of formwork and scaffolding.
• All components must be stacked and stored safely, Remove any loose parts or fix them in place so that they can
not fall free.

Note:
• We reserve the right to make modifications in the interest of technical progress.

System Description
The most important aspect of a successful structural construction is the formwork system. SPF System offers the
most trustful, secure, efficient and cutting edge of formwork technology for various structures. The SPF System is an
ingenious small-panel formwork system that was specially designed for cost-effective forming of concrete elements.
All of the panels belonging to this system are relatively light and handy that they can be handled and fitted by a
maximum of two people

SCAFFCO light weight SPF 50 Frame system, with its 5 mm Aluminum steel angle profile, is the ideal solution for
quick & economical forming, with or without the use of cranes.

SPF system, can be used for:

• Walls
• Foundations
• Single-Sided Formwork
• Slab Formwork
• Beams
• Slab sides
• Columns

System Features:
• SPF system panels are made from steel frames which makes the
panels more rigid, more robust and lighter than competitor panels.
SPF system enables huge saving in timber elements at site.
• SPF system can be used without requiring a crane, which dramatically reduces construction costs.
• The quality 18mm plywood sheet overlay on the face provides long life and a high quality finish for the concrete.
• SPF system has a wide range of panel sizes, allowing virtually any configuration to be erected.
• The erection and striking of SPF system is fast and straight forward and only needs a team of two, thereby saving
time and money.
• Panels are attached together using Key Bolt, which improves erection time.
• SPF system’s comprehensive range of accessories enable it to be used in an extensive range of construction
projects.
• SPF system panels can be used with steel soldiers or steel walers to create large crane handled
formwork shutters.
