The purpose of this method statement is to outline the relevant procedures in

carrying out the plumbing works.
2 SCOPE

This Method Statement covers the required sequential measures in executing

the plumbing works.

3 REFERENCE & STANDARDS

4 DEFINITIONS

5 RESPONSIBILITIES

- It is overall responsibility of PM to organize resources to perform construction

activities as per project specification, in compliance with quality, schedule &
safety requirements.

- It is the responsibility of CM that construction activities are executed

according to the relevant project specifications, in compliance with quality,
schedule & safety requirements.

- CE will ensure that all the works are performed safely as per latest Issued
For Construction (IFC) drawings & specifications.

- The relevant CE and Supervisor will ensure that all the work is conducted in
accordance with this method statement and project specifications

- The QC Inspector will ensure that all work is executed according to PQP and
that requirements of quality dossier are full filled.

- All pipe works shall be fixed in such a manner as to be readily accessible for
tools, welding operations or removable without dismantling adjacent pipe
work.

- The water distribution pipes shall be of good quality and the joints shall be
glued perfectly to prevent any future leak

- All Pipe works shall be run neatly, parallel to walls or grid lines on plan and
shall, where necessary, set around columns and projections. All vertical
pipes shall be plumb.

- Testing to be done to ensure the workability of the water distribution pipes

- The drainage pipes will be separated into two networks, the gray water for
the kitchen and the black water for the toilets

- Ensure good compaction below the drainage pipes to prevent any settlement

- Suitable slope shall be provided to achieve the flow of the sewage and
wastewater.

- Flow testing of the drainage system shall be carried out to ensure that the
system is working properly

- Ensure that defects & deterioration of pipes and fittings doesn’t occur during
the handling, transportation, and storage

- Astral’s checklist should be used during the stages of work for

documentation.

7 PRECAUTIONS AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

- Vigilance on Safety Hazards and Security at all time.

- Set out warning signs, plastic cones, flagging and safety barricade as
necessary.

- Use only wood or fiberglass range poles or rods when working near electrical
lines.

- All workers must be properly geared with safety helmet, hand gloves, and
safety shoes before carrying out their works at Site.

- Safety blankets and fire extinguishers shall be made available at all times.

- Close supervision at all time.
