1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this generic method statement is to define the procedure to carry out
the Fabrication and Erection work for Fire Fighting line and Support Structure Job.

2. SCOPE

Scope of this method statement covers the following activities related to Fabrication
and Erection work for Fire Fighting line and Support Structure.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 It is the responsibilities of PS that Dismantling and Shifting are executed

according to the relevant project specification, in compliance with Quality,
Schedule and Safety Requirements.
 PS will ensure all Activities are conducted under safe and controlled manner.
 To ensure that all connection are open and Removed/Isolated.
 Ensured all Measuring instrument are Removed.
 Ensure that all electric connection are removed/Isolated.
 To check the proper approach for crane/Fork Lifter/Hoisting Arrangement.

 PROCEDURES – METHOD OF WORKS – INSTRUCTIONS

6.1 WORK PERMIT

1 Work permit prior to start Fabrication activity shall be obtained.

6.2 Procedure of Fabrication and Erection of MS Pipeline for Fire Fighting Circuit.

 Shifting of MS Pipeline with the Help of Chain Blocks/Scaffolding etc.

 Pre-Fabrication of MS Pipeline Spool.
 Fabrication and Erection of MS Pipeline and MS Structure as per Giving Layout/Drawing.
 Hydro Testing of Fire Fighting Pipeline.
 Housekeeping.


7. TOOL & EQUIPMENT

The job shall be executed using the following major equipment.

7 Welding Plant
8 Scaffolding & Joints

9. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

 All personnel involved will use necessary PPE as required such as Safety Halment, Welding
Halmet, Shoes Gloves, Glasses and Safety Belt etc.
 All Required work permits will be acquired and kept available at respective worksites
hanged clearly.
 Special Consideration will be headed while working on Height and proper arrangement
will be ensure.

10. Client RESPONSIBILITIES

 The Medical fitness Examination of PEC working team will be done by MDLZ 02 Days prior
to the field activity.
 Issuance of Work permits will be on earliest in order to avail job time effiently.
 Clear Workable Space for Shifting, Fabrication and Erection of MS Pipeline and Support
Structure.
 Any Civil Hurdle i-e Trench, Pits etc will be covered by MDLZ.
