Private Education Act) REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8545 AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6728, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "AN ACT PROVIDING GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE TO STUDENTS AND TEACHERS IN PRIVATE EDUCATION AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR," ESTABLISHING A FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBSIDIZING SALARIES OF PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS. We all know that poverty is the highest problem of Filipino’s that resulting for a parent to failed sending their sons and daughters in a prestigious schools either in any schools. This program was designed to help students to continue their studies in a affordable manner. Also, the salary of teachers subsidizes in private schools to encourage them to continue serving the private school system. By this act, the poor but talented high school students who are not absorbed into the public school system will be given a chance especially for graduating as valedictorians and salutatorians from secondary schools because they grant scholarship. Therefore, it is an advantageous for them to pursue their future and free to choose what they want because being a poor is not a hindrance for a youth who has a dream who wants to achieve. A mind that eager to reach a goal. Also, It point out on Sec. 4; Forms of Assistance that money is not a problem because they offer tuition fee supplements for students in private high schools, including students in vocational and technical courses, High School Textbook Assistance Fund, Expansion of the existing Educational Service Contracting (ESC) Scheme, The voucher system of the Private Education Student Financial Assistance Program (PESFA), Tuition fee supplements to students in private colleges and universities; and Education Loan Fund. The teacher also has an assistance In-service training fund for private high schools and College Faculty Development Fund. This act is a cost – effective way of delivering education that can change the future of every individual “SWAK SA BULSA, MAKATUTO PA” that creates a quality of learning and safety, as well as expectations and accountability for students and teachers. This public-private partnership in education will certainly increase the quality of education. Neither would it depend solely on teachers nor on the system both students and teachers should work productively so that it will be effective and efficient. R.
