Objective/description To learn the art and science of data analysis and its applications in
business management

Subject Learning Outcomes By the end of this course students would learn how to formulate and
solve data driven problems across industries and business functions using
the two most popular tools used to industry, viz. Python and Tableau

Subject Synopsis/ Indicative Formulating and designing a data driven problem, identifying relevant

querying, model building, visualization and storytelling.

Session objective: Learning how to ask the “right” business question and designing an appropriate
solution for the problem

Sessions 3-4 Data understanding


Session objective: Learning how to understand the available data in detail – Distribution of variables,
identification of missing values and their interpretation, correlations etc.
