III. Lesson Proper

a. Drill or Review:
 What is atmosphere – the atmosphere is a mass of air or gases surrounding the earth where all weather
events happen.
 Can you give the layers of the Earth's Atmosphere ?
 What is the connection of ozone layer and the greenhouse and How thus the ozone layer affects climate
in the earth?

b. Motivation:

Video clip presentation about greenhouse effect

Questions for the video presentation

1. What have you notice on the video clip that you watch ?
2. How does the Greenhouse effect work?
3. What is the enhanced greenhouse effect?

c. Presentation of the Topic: Show pictures of greenhouse effect and asks students about their ideas regarding
those picture.

Question for the pictures

1. What can you say about the picture on the screen?

d. Discussion/Class Dynamics:

Explain the lesson to facilitate the learning on page 196-199

Let the learners discuss what are the disadvantages of lack of knowledge about global warming.

e. Application of Concepts Learned/Pupil Activity:

True or False 1 to 5.

f. Generalization:

the greenhouse effect is the process by the which the Earth’s atmosphere warms up. The trace gases are
also referred to as greenhouse gases and the main cause of global warming. Carbon dioxide is the most
important greenhouse gas that is added to the atmosphere. It is produced by wide natural processes and human
activities such burning, respiration, decomposition of organic matter, and volcanic eruptions.

IV. Evaluation

Short quiz 1 to 5 multiple choice

V. Assignment/ Agreement

a. List down at least 5 or more cause of the global warming in the earth.
b. Research about the global warming
c. Advance reading on the next topic on 200 to 201 of your textbook in Science 7
