Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow:
The Emperor Penguin is the largest, tallest and heaviest of all Penguins in the world. Adult penguins have a black
head, with a black back and tail and black wings. The underbelly is white. There is a large golden or yellow stripe on
the sides of the neck. There is also some gold on the upper breast. The emperor penguin has thick waterproof
feathers that cover the entire body except for the bill and feet.
They normally live for twenty years. Their diet comprises mostly crustaceans and small fish, they can dive to a
depth of 800 feet in search of food. They are found throughout the Antarctic Region. Female Emperor penguins lay
only one egg during May or June. The egg is carefully transported to the male, who incubates the egg for about 65
days. During this period, the males do not eat a single meal.
Common predator of emperor penguins are sharks, leopards, seals and orcas.
