1. Topic: How to write resume.


Resume: It is a short account of one’s career and qualifications.

Is CV the same as resume?

C.V: is one page summary of your work experience and background relevant to
the job you are applying to. It includes all the experience and certificates. It is
longer than the resume. It is used for academic purpose.

Resume: it is one or two pages that presnet the most important facts about the
experience, educational background and skills. It is used for job research.

Parts of a resume:

 Contact information.

 Work experience.

 Skills

 Education

 Achievements, Awards.

 You need to be clear about the position you are applying for.

How to write a resume with no experience:

Highlight your education:


If you do not have work experience you must emphatize the education, your
strengths, interests, and background. You need to include relevant non –
experience, list the skills you have.
You must be sure to included all the courses you have made for example:
computer courses. Language courses.

You also need to included any academic honors you have received.

Include relevant experience:

You need to write for example volunteer experience, that demostrate you are
involved with the comunity and the ability to work with others

You can include Part time jobs: Maybe you have worked with children, or help
someone in his or her bussines It show your costomer service.

Extracurricular activities:
Extracurricular activities the willingess to explore your interest.

List your skills:


If you do not have work experience you have some skills that will be useful in the
field you are applying. The skills you can include:

Computer programm.

Foreign Languages.

Customer Services.

Leadership.

Tips to write the Resume:

 Use the right format.


 It must be consice: make all the descriptions short, so the reader can get
the main ideas without losing time.
 Show with examples what you say: for example you say you are a good
Communicator, instead give examples why that is true, to show your
skills.
 Include key words to describe specific qualifications and job
responsabilities.

Hard and Soft skills

Soft skills:
Affect the way the employees collaborate with their team and at the same time it
is related with the reputation of the company. It is focuses on behaviors.

Some of the most required skills are:


 Communication: The way the employees speak to others.
 Responsibility: It is one of the most important things to ensure the goal.
 Confidence: How the employees keep all the information related to the
company.
 Resilience: How to deal with frutration and rejection.

Hard skill:

It refers to the competence employees has for example: fluency, foreigh


language, operating computer programs. You need to include any technical
skills you have, they will depend on the position you are applying for.

Hard skills are very important because increase the productivity and efficiency
of the employees.
It focuses on skills and abilities.

You can acquire hard skills by taking courses practising before to apply for the
job. You gain experience using skills in the work place.

2.Topic: How to write a book review- Summary.
To write a book review or summary means you have to read a book and
describe in a short way the main points, what characters and all the relevant
information in your own words.
Tips to write a book review-Summary:

Read and take notes:

You should have a notebook and a pen near to you to take the notes you
consider important. After reading a chapter take your notes, the characteristics
of the characters, the problems they face.

Write and introduction:


When you finish to read the book you need an introduction.
In this you will start with a strong introduction that tells the reader what to
expect. You must give a general idea about the book.
When you finish the introduction you need to write the body of the summary
Write the body:

Here you will use the notes you write before. You need to organize the ideas in

order so the reader can understand. You must put yourself in the reader’s

shoes.
When you finish write the conclusion that give the reader an understanding of
the book.

Edit the writing:


When you finish make sure that you re read it to be sure you do not have any
grammar or spelling mistakes.
You can read it aloud to someone else to have another opinion.

3.Topic: How to prepare a draft.
Draft: it is the Developing of writing a versión of story, book, or an essay.
Writing is a process that has some steps:
Prewriting, drafting, Revising, editing and publishing. It is very important to
follow of the steps to make sure the quality of the product.

How to start a draft:

You need to feel free to write anything that comes to your mind. Allow
to use the inspiration. After you write everything you need to focus on
the body of the writing.

 Structure the information: You need an introduction, body and


conclusion.
 Ellaborate ideas with examples: You need to support the
ideas with all the information you gathered.

 Write the draft: The process of writing should not take so much
time to you. You need to organize the ideas from the Beginnig
to the end, here you will have a complete picture of it. W hen
you finish you will be motivated to see your writing.
