Passive Sentences with Two Objects

The passive can also be used in sentences that have two objects direct object and
indirect object. Because many sentences with both a direct and an indirect object can
be written in two different ways (with and without to or for), the corresponding passive
sentences can also be written in two different ways:

Active: Rita wrote a letter to me.
Passive: A letter was written to me by Rita.
Passive: I was written a letter by Rita.
Active: Someone gives a million dollars to Bill
Passive: Bill was given a million dollars by someone
Active: Someone has bought a present for our boss.
Passive: Our boss has been bought a present by someone
