VISION

a peaceful and united community
MISSION
To promote proper planning, organizing, cooperation leading and coordinating of the constituents and officials of the Barangay and transform them into
a resourceful and self-management oriented community.
GOAL
To reduce eradicate poverty incidence of the constituents.
To properly implement rules and regulation in accordance with the Philippine Constitution.
HISTORY
Barangay Sta Cruz Quipayo, is the ninth largest barangay of Calabanga, Camarines Sur. It is located at the south-west part of Calabanga and it is five
kilometers away from poblacion, bounded in the East by barangay Sto. Niño, on the west by barangay San Bernardino, on the south by Sto. Domingo,
Bombon, Camarines Sur. It has a total land area of One Hundred Forty Seven (147) hectares; it has total population of Two Thousand Fifty Three (P2,553
as of December 2006), inhabitants of which ninety five percent are Roman Catholic, and the other five percent is seventh day adventist, Mormons,Iglesia
ni Cristo 1914, Johovah’s witnesses anf the church of Christ of the New Testaments. The Patron Saint of the Barangay is the Holy Cross and the feast
day is May 4, every year.
In the previous years, the barangay is ruled by the Cabeza de Barangay then by the Degalado, then by the Barrio Lietenant of which far every two
hundred inhabitants is presented by the Barrio Lietenants. At present the Barangay is run by the Sangguniang Barangay headed by the Punong Barangay
which is voted by the Qualified Voters aged from eighteen years above. The Sangguniang Kabataan is voted by the Registered Voters aged below
eighteen to fifteen years of age. The Punong Barangay appointed Barangay Secretary, Barangay Treasurer, the Barangay Policeman, the member ng
Lupon ng Tagapamayapa and other employees to run the affairs of the Barangay government.
Farming, Fishing Nipa Shingle Making, Trimobile and Padyak Driving, public and private employee, hog breeding, duck rising are the livelihood of the
people. Almost ninety percent of the houses here are electricity covered by the CASURECO. The peace and order are normal, Drug is minimized thru the
gagged patrolling of the Barangay Policeman, health and sanitation is highly attained thru the imposition of the health Ordinance. At present, due to the
high price of the hogs, almost of the household are now carrying pigs to increase their income.
At present, Barangay Officials and the Parish Pastoral Council of the said Barangay go hand and hand to improve the Barangay Chapel and its
surroundings. Physical hygiene is also attained by organized games of different categories. By this time, dispute in the Barangay seldom happen. Now
more and more civil religious and social activities happen due to the effort of Congressman Cho S. Roco Jr.
