Poem Making

MECHANICS/GUIDELINES
1. The contest is open to all students of SASCIANS.
2. The poem must be connected to the theme; "Sea and Sky College: Sustaining Academic excellence
Amidst the challenges of the pandemic"
3. The Participants may use either pure Filipino or Pure English in his or her composition.
4. The poem should have count and rhyming
5. The piece should be original to avoid any plagiarism
6. The poem must consist of 4 stanzas; each stanza should contain 4 lines.
7. Deadline of submission is on ______at __pm. Entries received beyond the given time shall not be
acknowledged.
8. The contestants will upload the entries on Facebook Page of Sea and Sky College or SBO PAGE.

CRITERIA

 Creativity/Originality (not copy paste from internet) - 30%


 Following instructions (4 stanza; 4lines) - 10%
 Relevance to the theme (Sea and Sky College: Sustaining Academic Excellence Amidst the
Challenges of the Pandemic) - 10%
 Content - 50%

1. This contest is open to all SASCians.
2. Mask must be hand-made and Recyclable/indigenous materials are highly encouraged to be used.
3. Mask must be done and posted on time; late entries will be deleted.
4. Model your own masterpiece.
5. Only one entry per student and no changing of entries once finally posted to the page.
6. The masks will be posted via Facebook on Sea and Sky College Inc. page/SBO page.
7. The masks will be judged according to the following criteria:

* Visual Impact 20%
* Comfort 10%
* Facebook Reactions 10%
-HEART and WOW are only counted Reactions.
PHOTOJOURNALISM

MECHANICS/GUIDELINES
1. This contest is open to all SASCians.
2. There are only 10 participants that will compete in this activity and should not have any other
activity to compete.
3. Photographs must be recently shot (2021).
4. For a photo in which a person is recognizable, the photographer is responsible for securing
permission from that person or, in the case of a minor, from the subject’s parent or guardian.
5. Photos should capture the essence of education amidst the pandemic. The same should be able to
interpret the theme: "Sustaining Academic Excellence Amidst the Challenges of the Pandemic)
6. Photographs to be submitted should have no watermark. There should be no identifying mark on
the images to eliminate any bias during the judging.
7. Only one entry per student and no changing of entries once finally posted to the page.
8. The photographs will be posted via Facebook on Sea and Sky College Inc. page/SBO page.
9. The entry to be submitted should be an image/photo with a corresponding “photo title” and
“photo caption”. The caption must indicate the place where and when the image was taken and
must have an accurate description of what the photo is about.

The following photographs are disqualified:


*Photographs that are digitally or otherwise enhanced or altered for creative purposes. Altered Images
refer to Photographs manipulated and applied with special effects (colorizing, collage, photo composites,
etc.). However, minor adjustments, including sharpening, contrast and slight color adjustment or the
digital equivalents, are acceptable.
*Photos that violate another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright.
*Photographs that have been published in print or online.

The photographs will be judged according to the following criteria:


CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
1. Relevance to the Theme (How well the photo interprets the theme): 25%
2. Creativity & Originality (How the photographer showed some creative thoughts. How the subject
matter is pictured in a unique and interesting way): 25%
3. Technique (Use of elements of photography. Whether the photo showed balance in light, focus,
depth of field, etc.): 20%
4. Photographic Quality: 20%
5. Facebook Reactions: 10%
