Description Annotation/Justification
Topic Describing Mixtures In this lesson, Learners learned about
heterogeneous mixtures and
homogeneous. Mixtures are the
combination of two or more substances
that can be homogeneous or
heterogeneous. Homogeneous
mixtures are uniform mixtures, while
heterogeneous mixtures are
non-uniform mixtures. Pupils must
have to learn this lesson because it will
give them knowledge and awareness
that the mixtures have differences.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the lesson the Pupils should be able
to:
1. Define and describe the appearance of
mixtures.
2. Compare Homogeneous and Heterogeneous
mixtures.
3. Classify Homogeneous and Heterogeneous
mixtures.
4. Value the benefits of homogeneous and
Heterogeneous mixtures at home.
1.) Students should Define and
Describe the mixtures because there
are two types of mixtures,
Homogeneous and Heterogeneous
uniform and non-uniform. This lesson
is important for the students to learn
how to separate the mixture into its
components, this first objective
reaches the Motivation.
2.) By comparing Homogeneous and
Heterogeneous mixtures the students
will be able to cooperate by comparing
the mixtures. This second objective
reaches the first Activity.
3.) The students will classify Mixtures
can be classified on the basis of
particle size into three different types:

Descending Order. Arranging

descending order. This activity will
make them have fun and discover
what lessons I'm going to discuss
because they should be able to
arrange the numbers in descending
order to reveal the words. The
teachers have an activity that
engages the pupils and having fun
while they do their activities so that
they can learn easily.
Activity
Activity: Let’s Observe (15 minutes)
Direction: I will divide the class into 3 learning
teams each learning teams will be given water,
alcohol, sugar, salt, rice grains and corn. Each
learning teams shall make two mixtures of
Heterogeneous and Homogeneous. The first group
to make two mixtures of Heterogeneous and
another two of homogenous mixtures earn higher
points and receive a reward.
Analysis
The teacher will ask a question about the activity they
have done. These are the following questions:
1. What are the two types of mixtures?
2. What are the characteristics of the
mixtures?
Abstraction
Mixtures are combinations of two or more substances
that can be homogeneous or heterogeneous.
Homogeneous mixtures appear uniform all throughout
because they have the same proportion.
Heterogeneous mixtures are not
uniform in proportion where combined substances are
not evenly spread or mixed.
This activity will help them to
unlock new knowledge by
observing and cooperating
together with their teams or group
mates. This group activity can be
an effective method to motivate
students, encourage active
learning, and develop key
critical-thinking, communication,
and decision-making skills.
Teacher successfully achieved the
targets that students will be able
to learn new things.
The lesson properly helps learners
diagram ideas or create
visualizations of complex data, it
helps students process information
rather than simply receive it.
Leading a discussion requires skills
different from lecturing. The goal of
a discussion is to get students to
practice thinking about the said
Subject or lessons. Sir Francis
Bacon once said, knowledge is
power, so let us always give them
new knowledge.
Application
Direction: complete the diagram. The class will be
divided into four groups; each learning group should
look around outside and inside in the classroom and
list a maximum of 10 homogeneous and
Heterogeneous mixtures in the provided sheets. (15
minutes)
Students must listen to each other
and encourage to work towards the
same goal, rejoice together if
someone does well socialize
together, if possible, this can lead
to a better understanding of each
other. By listening to every opinion
every student feels empowered in
making decisions and able to
exchange knowledge and
cooperation. This group activity
where students can develop critical
thinking and communication skills
and trust in their group members.
