Hans Rosling illustrates global variations in fertility, life expectancy, child survival, and
poverty by country since the 1960s using cutting-edge data visualisation technologies (and
region).

Rosling specifically highlights the discrepancy between widely held beliefs about the so-
called third world and information derived from census data.

Rosling used statistics to show that worldwide fertility was decreasing and that the era of
fast population growth would therefore end by midcentury and the distinction between
developed and developing countries has blurred, global health is improving and the
extreme poverty in the world is decreasing

The video shows how statistical data frequently offers worldviews that defy common
sense. It would be helpful in a demography or introductory sociology class.

It taught me that data is better than I thought, we live in a world that counts. Data needs
its own functionalities and data is available at certain places i.e United Nation, National
Statistical Agencies, Universities and Research Institutes

Campaign Tracking, Acquisition Reports (UA), Behaviour

Step 1: Checkout the acquisition reports

2. Scroll down to view the table of Acquisition, behavior and Conversions. Then take screenshot
of the page.

And from the Default Channels Grouping Report, enter channel names. Example: Referral,
Direct, Organic etc.

Week 5:
Google Analytics 4

Step 1 - Define a Conversion in GA4.

You've a landing page with a webform on it

On form submission, the user is redirected to a thank you page, a confirmation page.

You want to know how many times the webform was submitted? Or, in other words how many
leads you generated in the given period of time?

Create an event for the same and mark this event as a conversion.

Write the steps, add properly marked screen shots from the GA4 interface.

Step 2 - Check-out the Acquisition Section Reports in GA4

In Google's Demo Account, select the GA4 property. Select Last Month as the time period from
the calendar / date picker.

Look at Acquisition=>Traffic acquisition Report, this is equivalent to UA's Acquisition=>All


Traffic=>Channels Report.

Select Purchase in Event count and Conversions Metrics. Now mark, which two channels gave
maximum Purchase?

Mark top two channels that produced highest Total Revenue.

Now, repeat the same for the report User acquisition: First user medium.

Write what is the difference between User acquisition: First user medium and Traffic
acquisition?

First user medium divides the traffic through source or channel the visitor came and Traffic
acquisition shows all traffic channels through which visitor has come on page.

Eg- Google is traffic channel and google organic is first user medium

Step 3 - Check-out the Engagement Section Reports in GA4

In Google's Demo Account, select the GA4 property. Select Last Month as the time period from
the calendar / date picker.
Look at Engagement=>Pages and screens Report, this is equivalent to UA's Behaviour=>Site
Content=>All Pages Report.

Make a note of 5 most viewed pages and list here:

Step 4 - Check-out the Monetisation Section Reports in GA4

In Google's Demo Account, select the GA4 property. Select Last Month as the time period from
the calendar / date picker.
Look at Monetisation=>E-commerce purchases Report, this is equivalent to UA's
Conversions=>E-commerce=>Product Performance Report.

Sort it on Item revenue and make a note of top 5 products.

Now, change the Primary dimension to Item category and find the top 5 categories revenue
wise.

Not Available as per my niche, my website provides service only and does not sell any
products.

Step 5 - Check-out the Monetisation Section Reports in GA4

Create a user acquisition report.


In Google's Demo Account, select the GA4 property. Go to Explore from the primary left hand
navigation. Click Blank i.e., the + sign on a card (Create a new exploration) under the "Start a
new exploration" section.
Setup your report by adding required variables in the first column
Variables
Segment - Ignore / None, do not anything.
Dimensions - Town / City, Device Category
Metrics - Total Users, Sessions, Engaged sessions, Transactions, Ecommerce Revenue
Tab Settings
Now add City to Rows in the Tab Settings (Middle column)
Add Device category to Columns and
Add all the Metrics that you selected in previous step to the Values

Your report is now ready, if you notice (not set) in any of the rows, right click it and select
"Exclude selection". This will create a filter that you can see in the middle column Tab Settings
at the bottom, below the values.

After filling up all the fields above, just save the file and upload it in Week-5>Upload
Assignment.
