EXPLORE (15 mins)


Video clip on cellular respiration and photosynthesis will be
played and let the students be guided with the following
questions which they will answer and discuss ( in groups of
8 members) afterwards:

 Name factors that will affect the rate of

EXPLAIN (15 mins)
A representative from each group will discuss their
answers on the following questions?
 What are the raw materials and end products of
photosynthesis and cellular respiration?
 How glucose along with oxygen converted to carbon Manila Paper and marker pen

 Name factors that will affect the rate of
photosynthesis and cellular respiration.

ELABORATE (5 mins)
The teacher may add facts on the factors that will affect Laptop and TV monitor
the rate of photosynthesis and cellular respiration and the
significance of both processes in our daily living.

replenishes the oxygen that was used up by
living things during respiration.
 The cycle of photosynthesis and respiration
maintains the balance of carbon dioxide and
oxygen on earth.
EVALUATE (10 mins)
A quiz will be administered; comparing photosynthesis and
cellular respiration in table form as shown below
