HISTORY OF SCHOOL

The MABUHAY HOMES 2000 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL was established on June, 1999. It is situated
in the former basketball court of Phase 1B. After the foundation of the Mabuhay Homes 2000
Subdivision, parents felt the need for an elementary school where their children can go to achieve their
basic education. Before most of the pupils in Mabuhay Homes sacrifices to go to Doña Susana Madrigal
Memorial School which was the nearest public elementary school in the subdivision, since it took half an
hour to reach the school through walking and 15 minutes through commuting.

Collective efforts made by the officers of Mabuhay Homes 2000 Homeowners Associations,
Department of Education personnel, parents and provincial government officials made possible the go
signal opening of the school to address the primary needs of the residents of Mabuhay subdivision and
nearby subdivision having proximity to the place an access to primary education.

At the beginning Mabuhay Homes 2000 Elementary School was occupying vacant units in the
subdivision. A year after its foundation, a decent school with standard size classrooms was founded. At
first, there was one (1) unit Ynares Type School Building. Through the combined efforts of the principal,
PTA Officers, DepED personnel’s and provincial government, now there are one (1) unit 2 storey BOD
Building with 6 classrooms and (1) unit one storey with 2 classrooms Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce
(This building was demolished now changed it with a (1) unit 1 storey Ynares Multi PurposeBuilding with
2 classrooms),(1) unit 2 storey Ynares Type School Building with 6 classrooms, (1) unit 1 storey Ynares
Type School Building with 8 classrooms, wherein the ICT room, Home Economics room and office of the
principal were located, another (1) unit 1 storey Ynares Type School Building with 5 classrooms, and the
(1) unit 2 storey Principal LED Building with 4 classrooms.

It has a total land area of 1, 357 sq. m. with complete grade level K– VI level. Now Mabuhay
Homes 2000 Elementary School has 53 teachers 45 females and 8 males.
