Some of the Important Leadership Styles are as Follows:


1. Autocratic Leadership Style:
In this style of leadership, a leader has complete command and hold
over their employees/team. The team cannot put forward their views
even if they are best for the team's or organizational interests.

2. Democratize/Participative Leadership Style:


The leaders invite and encourage the team members to play an
important role in decision making process, though the ultimate decision-
making power rests with the leader.

Some of the important leadership styles are as follows:


3. Bureaucratic Leadership Style:
Here the leaders strictly adhere to the organizational rules and
policies. Also, they make sure that the employees/team also strictly
follow the rules and procedures. Promotions take place on the basis of
employees‟ ability to adhere to organizational rules.

4. The Laissez Faire Leadership Style:


Here, the leader totally trusts their employees/team to perform the
job themselves. He just concentrates on the intellectual/rational aspect
of his work and does not focus on the management aspect of his work.

1. It is an inter-personal process.
2. A person which includes intelligence, maturity and personality.
3. It is a group process. interacting with each other.
4. A leader is involved in shaping and molding the behavior of the
group.
5. Leadership is situation bound. It all depends upon tackling with
the situations.

1. Authoritarian or Autocratic Leaders:
• These leaders don't care for the opinion of
the subordinates.
• They never like to share authority.
• They drive the gang through command and
developing fear in the followers.
• They use negative motivation.

2. Democratic or Consultative Leaders:


• These leaders take decisions by consulting followers.
• They act as the moderators of the ideas suggested by their group.

• These leaders influence their followers due to personal contact.
• He gives directions personally and the whole
group responds as they love and respect him.

4. Functional Leaders:
• These leaders are able to lead because of their expert knowledge.
• They win the confidence of the followers through their superior
knowledge.

• This refers to feelings within an individual that direct them to act in
certain ways.

2. Motivation can be Positive or Negative:


• Positive motivation promotes a person to do constructive work while
negative motivation does the opposite.

• Human needs are infinite and it is a continuous, never ending process.
• So motivation cannot become a one-time event, and it is a continuous
process.

• To understand motivation, it must know human needs essential.
